Artist: Steve Jolliffe P: 1991 Escape finds Steve Jolliffe blending leading-edge digital technology with the amber resonances of traditional acoustics. The album starts out with a sneaky, waltz-like number displaying rich melodies intertwined with exuberant rhythms. The music at times is wild and eclectic in its progressive expression, escaping into soothing and somber tomes, distant and ancient. His musical sketches reveal an underlying complexity, imbued with classical undertones and beauty. Atmospheric and stretched out yet concise, Jolliffe’s music plays proper homage to Tangerine Dream, with artistic nods to Patrick O’Hearn and Mark Isham, to Norwegian synthesists Oystein Sevag and Erik Wollo and to French countrymen Bernard Xoloti and Jean Michael Jarre. The digital-orchestra sound and Teutonic touches, coupled with spacey phrasing even bring to mind the Erdenlang label.

Artist: Steve Jolliffe P: 1996 "Temmenu" is a remixed version of the 1985 MC "Voices" Original CD release 1996 on Sine Records label. Temmenu is apparently a star set at 28° in the shoulder of the constellation of Taurus. Babylonian astronomers named it this, the literal translation being "foundation stone", and it was regarded by the ancients as the central sun of the universe. It's even rumoured that Egyptian priests received communications from a race which travelled from Sirius and Temmenu. All fascinating stuff, and it's good to see that trouble has been taken to supplement the excellent sleeve graphics with some decent information. Musically the album consists of a single piece titled 'Voices'. The sleevenotes proclaim that the music has "the ability to create sympathetic vibrations designed to transfer your being to a separate reality" and they also go on to say that "in theory 35 octaves separate Earth time from solar time". Here the last copy of the first factory pressed version!

Dark music with effect to the pictures. Here the last copy.
Artist: Steve Schroyder P: 1990 Music in Harmony with Nature. Stars Sounds & Colors. Steve Schroyder, in collaboration with Hans Cousto, the renouned mathematician and musicologist, has created this music on the basis of the ground tones and rhythms of the earth and the moon. In precise frequencies, Hertz for Hertz. The effects can be grasped in meditation and employed for therapeutic purposes. The inserts show track 4 on Disc 2 as [4-8], which implies 5 parts, but there is no additional information on this index and it does not register on the CD.
Artist: Strange Inside P: 1994 The debut CD of this Cologne based musician is a brilliant mix of catchy melodies with wonderful synthesizersounds and a perfect guitar on top. Sounds like Brainwork, Coral Cave, F.D. Project or Chris Franke. Here the last copy!
