Peter Michael Hamel - Nada

Artist: Peter Michael Hamel
P: 1977 / 1994

"In Spanish, Nada means "nothing", in Sanskrit Nada defines an inner intuitive sound. Melody, bass line and drone are played on four different synthesizers. The main motif which is repeated infinitely often comes from the electric organ. The composition is based a very old scale which was known in antiquity as phrygian, in the Middle Ages as dorian. The scale is now known in India as Raga Kafi (C - D - Eb - F - G - A - Bb)."
