Elektronische Maschine - Das Netz

Artist: Elektronische Maschine
P: 2003

‘Das Netz’ is simply another excellent and impressive release from this Dutch trio that easily mirrors the style and quality of their previous releases. Easily a release and above all a band that will be welcomed with open arms by those with an interest and affection for this style of purist Kraftwerk influenced Electronic Pop.
But, don’t look upon Elektronische Maschine as just another Kraftwerk clone, they are clearly too good to just be placed in the shadow of Kraftwerk.
‘Das Netz’ will easily be among one of the better Electro Pop albums you will hear this year, highly recommended.

Elektronische Maschine - Energy

Artist: Elektronische Maschine
P: 1999
Energy is they’re second release, but first on CD from a band that produce a style of Electro pop that is very heavily influenced by Kraftwerk, the band itself is credited on this CD as an inspiration.
CONTENT Fourteen tracks and eleven songs including two bonus tracks, both German versions of Energy and Analog/Digital while some of the tracks do feature some dry and almost deadpan vocals, not that I’m complaining.
LIKE-There are some excellent tracks here, especially the more up-tempo tracks, tracks like the opening ‘Energy’, the track itself is later repeated with German vocals (furthering the similarities with Kraftwerk), ‘Powermachine’, ‘Analog/Digital’, appearing in three versions, the more up-tempo “Dance Version’, its original version which latter appears as the third version complete with German vocals, ‘Retrospection’ with some excellent analogue synth work, ‘Dance Floor’ (remix) and ‘Elek-tec’.
Also excellent is the more mid-paced and remixed versions of both ‘Tanz Mit Computer’ and ‘Dance 86’. There are also some slower tracks like the remixed versions of É-motion’ and ‘The Seduction’ while many of the latter tracks on the CD give Elektronische Maschine more of their own identity in the mainly instrumental tracks that are featured.
DISLIKE-Nothing, simple some excellent Electro Pop. INTEREST-This is a very impressive release featuring some perfect Kraftwerk style Electro Pop, but don’t look upon Elektronische Maschine as simply another Kraftwerk clone, they are clearly too good to be placed in the shadow of Kraftwerk.

Elektronische Maschine - The Key to Compute

Artist: Elektronische Maschine
P: 2001
CONTENT-Eight tracks and seven songs of Kraftwerk influenced and mainly up-tempo Electro Pop.
LIKE- The ‘Dance version of the title track and the track ‘Dance floor’ which originally appeared on their previous CD ‘Energy’.
All the tracks featured are very much in the same style and pace as one another, all excellent and up-tempo tracks with ‘Lets feel the groove’ . ’Summer Electronics’ and ‘Trance Metal’ especially standing out, its on these last two tracks that Elektronische Maschine come closest to Kraftwerk, least not in the ‘Tour De France’ style percussion.
DISLIKE-Nothing, once again no reason for any Synthpopper not to take an interest in this release. INTEREST-If your looking for some Kraftwerk style Electro-pop, then look no further than this band.
