Artist: Thom Brennan P: 2019 Long ambient flowing titles.
Artist: Thom Brennan P: 1996 / 2005 Dreamy evolving pads, bells and gentle sequences. Parts 1 and 2 are mainly an evolving sequence with layers of synth texture in the background. For Part 3 the sequences slow and fade to leave an evolving texture and gentle bells. Part 3 has an occasional high pitched tone that I found a little harsh at first, though this is obviously meant to be an integral part of the experience, and may not be obtrusive for others. Part 4 seems to sum up all that has gone before it with some earlier motifs reappearing. This is high quality ambient music.

Artist: Thom Brennan P: 2020 4 long ambient, space sequencertracks.
Artist: Thom Brennan P: 2020 In the realm of gentle, long-form sequencer-driven music Thom Brennan is almost without peer. Of the three albums he has released in 2020 this is by far my favorite and ranks among his best. And unlike the great Klaus Schulze, Brennan doesn’t take 15 minutes to set the mood, but seduces us immediately with springy rhythms that create an elegant sonic tapestry reminiscent of Michael Hoenig’s late-70s masterpiece, DEPARTURE FROM THE NORTHERN WASTELAND.
Artist: Thom Brennan P: 2019 In one gorgeous, breathtaking hour Thom Brennan has reaffirmed his place at the absolute pinnacle of the ambient music world.
Artist: Thom Brennan P: 2020 4 long ambient, space sequencertracks. From extended synthesizer improvisations, organically evolving soundtracks for the imagination...an unfolding drama in sound while remaining firmly anchored in the worlds of ambient drone and electronic space.
Artist: Thom Brennan P: 2019 After a 10-year hiatus USA synthesist Thom Brennan re-enters the Em scene with three (actually four) new albums. One of them is “Imaginary Conquests” which was supposed to be a release of material recorded under that title before Brennan’s debut “Mountains”. The 71-minute velvet, pastel-coloured outcome was born and inspired by original tape recordings from 1984-1985 that unfortunately contained too much degraded audio so newer material was recorded early 2019. Thus four long ambient-esque tracks (“Parts”) of TD-influenced sequencer-driven space music came about, all progressing slowly, fluidly and in a minimal fashion while spreading a warm, mellow, gentle swirling sound design while travelling toward distant horizons. I’m impressed especially by “Part Three” and “Part Four” (both candidates for a 4 star rating). The latter one proves dynamic- introspective, containing sections of elegant Mellotron textures dressed over strings of very nice percolating sequencers. Glad you’re back, Thom!
Artist: Thom Brennan P: 1987 / 1993 Thom Brennan paints a tapestry of sound that ebbs and flows to the harmony of the soul. Every chord strikes in the moments of credibility, in the perplexities of imagination. With Steve Roach in one track. Here the last copy!

Artist: Thom Brennan P: 2002 Deep slow meditative ambience; an extended 71 minute soundscape of electronic silk.
Artist: Thom Brennan P: 2001 Long developing ambient tracks with that certain Steve Roach style.
Artist: Thom Brennan P: 2003 Signals in Moonlight is a great departure from Thom Brennan. It transcends, but provides an intricate web of sound and beat in addition to his musical journeys that take you places known and unknown. An electronic journey.
Artist: Thom Brennan P: 2005 Meditative electronica for the winter season. It's easy to get lost in these smooth aural washes that mingle with the pulsating ebbs and flows turning the cold gray landscape into a beguiling silvery vista. Eight of the most beautiful, dense, evolving ambient beds, full of shifting, fluttering depths and scintillating variety. Thom's new album builds confidently on the pure, floating ambience of previous releases, but here the liquid smoothness is constantly shot through with myriad pulses, bells, twinkles and submerged voices like veins through marble. There is a lot more movement in 'Silver' than in some earlier CDs, distant melodies drift in the heady atmosphere and bright sequences ebb, flow and cycle in and out of earshot. Some pieces have elements of rhythm and occassional sounds of nature are expertly immersed into the mix.
Artist: Thom Brennan P: 2017 Long ambient flowing titles.
Artist: Thom Brennan P: 2008 This composition is largely inspired by nature, especially by American Southwest landscapes and by Pacific Northwest forests. All this results in a neo-classical ambient impressionism distinguished by a strong visual approach. Long and slow ambient tracks with guitar layers and slowly raisng percussive rhythms.
