Indra releases the new series of electronic music albums, titled ARCHIVES. The twenty five albums are split into 5 collections: Ruby, Emerald, Gold, Diamond and Platinum, each of these collections containing five albums.The music included in this massive series represent studio music composed and recorded by Indra over the years, which was never released. The few exceptions are just some tracks from the six albums which could not be re-edited from the artist’s discography (from 1993-1995); also, a couple of previously unreleased live tracks. The songs are presented on the albums in chronological order, they offer an authentic journey into the sonic universe of Indra, due to the many musical styles, themes and ideas which the artist plays in an unmistakable style.
The first album from the series (Ruby one) contains melodies and excerpts from pieces that were included on the six albums that could not be re-edited, thus partially filling the gap left in his discography by these albums. With Ruby one, Indra opens the ARCHIVES series and allows us to travel through time, for a period of 20 years, to an unknown and often unpredictable “realm” of musical themes and approaches. A journey we hope will charm the souls of those interested in very good EM stuff.

The third collection from the ARCHIVES series starts with the album Gold One, which contains four tracks. The first three were composed and recorded in 2006, the fourth (which is the longest on this album) in 2007.

The same as the preceding album, Gold two contains four tracks. All of them were recorded in 2007.Hypnodance is a display of complex, rhythmic sequences, coupled with a lyrical theme; Sacred Hall inspires the imagination, because contrary to expectations it is a rhythmic melody, however its ending induces the state anticipated by the title; The Wingmakers is also a special combination of rhythm and nostalgia, while Celestes closes the album on an astral atmosphere.Listening to this album and musical pieces, which are “clean” and carefully created – even if they represent “secondary lab work” – you ask yourself why Indra did not release them in his albums. Possibly because, as the fruits of some inspirational moments, the artist did not consider the musical material as unitary for meeting the requirements of a “brand” album. Even so, the musical richness and refinement with which the pieces are created is a real enchantment for the soul of fans dedicated to the electronic genre…

Gold Three is a nostalgic album, in which ample harmonies and lyrical themes predominate. Maybe after a tumultuous 2007, Indra relaxed approaching a meditative style, and this brings a welcome alternation in the succession of his creations in the ARCHIVE series.

The album greets us with four tracks, the first three composed in 2008, and the last one in 2009. Here we find nerve, rhythm and dynamism, but also a piece of about 28 minutes (Top Clearance (Soul Ground)) with a profound meditative feel. If in the case of Nymbus the rhythm is well defined and direct, with an arpeggiated structure, On the Beach is hypnotic and thundering, contrasting with the romantic start of the piece. The Twins is an ode to pure sounds of bells, undulating on waves of affection. As we come closer to present day, the “hidden” tracks of Indra increasingly reveal more and more nuances and perspectives of a universe of sound, very rich and sensitive.

The final album in the Gold collection offers us five pieces, all composed and recorded in 2009. The influence of this opus is lyrical and meditative. Even if the first two tracks are dynamic, the following three give a sensitive imprint to the whole album. This leads us to the final two collections from the Archives series, bringing us closer to the current musical creations of INDRA.

Here we meet pure, ethereal approaches and known themes or melodic nuances from the Middle East (The Djinn and She's Good), which INDRA integrates in a meditative and also modern spirit. Overall it is a rhythmic album, but it’s also penetrated by lyrical moods and higher aspirations as for example in Zian. Alice in Wonderland represents an amazing exception by its structure and delicacy, which succeeds in transporting the mind and soul into a fairy-tale.

The second album from the DIAMOND collection comprises tracks that were composed and recorded by INDRA in 2010. Overall it is an atmospheric album and we could even extend this category to space music. Only Bellphonique is distinctive by its sustained rhythm, in which the bass’n drums powerfully offer the melody a great dynamism. However, even here the ending belongs to the space vision of INDRA. We also meet moments of great delicacy in Leprechauns or A Hint For Meditation, and also vast harmonies that induce nostalgia for the endless space in Through the Stars. Perhaps that period of time was a more intense exploration of the celestial vision of INDRA or maybe the artist simply felt a greater closeness to the space style…

Of the four tracks of the album, only the first was recorded in 2010, the rest in 2011.
If on the previous album we met mostly atmospheric-space style songs, in Diamond Three the melodies are rhythmic, however they keep – either through the harmonies, or the specific themes – an unmistakable lyrical note. The tracks are complex and evolving, providing enough field for both inner reflection and for joy of heart. It’s like a „transition” in the Berlin School style, which may anticipate some change in the style of INDRA, but we’ll probably see this in the last collection of the series.

Rhythms combined with deeply lyrical themes often induce a state of trance and nostalgia. Diamond Four is no exception to this. An album of elegant, rhythmic pieces, all composed and recorded in 2011. A collection of little treasures that deserves to be heard.

This album ends the Diamond collection and, in the chronological order of the tracks, it passes through 2012. All five tracks are composed and recorded in 2012.We easily observe the tendency of INDRA towards chill-out rhythms and harmonies of his last albums, a style that he interestingly combines with particular electronic music. However, the artist does not seem to be limited by this stage of creation, which, just like in other moments until now, represents a phase of passage, but offers us a very remarkable piece (Elegy for Theya), a combination of intiatic mystery and cosmic sounds.Diamond Five is a special album that captures a special affectionate side on the foundation of relaxing sounds and discrete rhythms.

We have arrived at the last collection in the Archives series! The Platinum collection contains melodies composed by INDRA in his studio between 2012 and 2015. The first album in the collection is a combination of styles: lounge, electronic, psychedelic, ambient. The passage from 2012 to 2013 leaves the usual range of INDRA (Pretorian and In Between), however the last melody (Elois) reflects “the dream of summer nights, which many romantic awaited…”

This album contains three melodies, all composed and recorded in 2013. They are long, conceptual, pieces with many “layers” to their composition. If Meteor is a dynamic and yet lyrical approach, From Beyond and In the Sky are atmospheric pieces, echoing into space.

Platinum Three is a rhythmical album, but we also discover lyrical accents, which are specific to INDRA.
With this album we can already glimpse the end of the ARCHIVES series. It contains four pieces: the first two were composed in 2013, the last two belong to 2014.

An album containing four melodies, all composed and produced in 2014; four styles; a mammoth work. This is the way we can briefly describe the album. Feliciano is dynamic and lasts for 50 minutes. Roll It also fits into the area of dynamic beats, while The Living Nada and Ambiosonic are a side note, being completely different to the first two.

We have reached the end of this rather large collection of electronic music, INDRA’s universe of sounds embodied in an amazing variety of styles.Last disc in the series could be classed as the most surprising because of the particular approach on different music styles. From ambient to trap and chillout with atonal compositions and astonishing sound effects, it looks like 2015 was INDRA’s year for experimentation.The quest for Nemo is an ample ambient track with full and mysterious sounds while Lexicon is something apart as a theme and instrumentation. Chill Book is probably the strangest track on this CD, a mixture of chill out and electro beats. Endorsement includes a fast rhythm with many sudden changes – it is quite possible that this track could become INDRA’s “jewel in the crown” for this title. So Long, A Time Will Tell is the last track, and seems to be more of a farewell – fortunately we know it only marks the end of this CD series. INDRA promised he would complete all Archives titles by the end of 2016. He kept well to his word. He also promised that he would soon begin working on the last 3 albums to complete the Special Edition series.

The album contains 10 tracks, most of them recorded in 2004. In a sense, one can say that Ruby four marks the passage from one millennium to another in Indra’s musical career. An interesting fact is that between 2001 and 2004 the artist did not have any musical productions. Just like in the previous albums, here we meet a conglomeration of musical styles, which are obviously inspired by Indra’s conjunctions. Even so, it should be noted that the author turns slowly but surely to a pure electronic style, which we can also notice in the official albums he started to publish from 2005.
