Intelligentsia
Originally from space, MIRAI ('Future Boy') is the founder of the neo-futurist network INTELLIGENTSIA - its prime directive to bring together artists on the vanguard, with an amalgamation of innovative philosophy & positive future. Mirai spent his teens designing video games in the U.K, released over 10 titles from age 14 onwards, & then moved onto music, video & fashion during the growth of the rave culture, where he began to group in numerous members into his unit. Their first gig was in Camden Palace, London in 91, and have done over 50 live events since, including the Interactive Live Show with Susumu Hirasawa (P-Model), The Future of Music (Denmark), & festivals Alfa Centauri / E-LIVE (Netherlands) & Emotions (Belgium). From '95 he relocated to Tokyo, writing soundtracks for Japanese video games, club mixes, & national TV & radio, with music pressed to over 250,000 units. Mirai has been a video game character & model, co-hosted a one year Electronic Music radio show, written for 'Keyboard', has done various media spots and thru 2 decades of Intelligentsia has teamed up with a motley bag of musicians and artists, always pushing against the status quo. In Japan he had a political party named after him, was the first person to perform a techno live using a mobile phone, & was voted top Tomb Raider level designer. Mirai's portfolio features the global project WorldWideKind, new music devices such as the Body-Drum & the Gypsy-Midi Exo-skeleton, digital content for celebrities Uri Geller, Morley Robertson (J-Wave Radio), Kenso Kato & for companies ASCII/Enterbrain, Enix, Arkaos VJ, BeMobile Germany, & Yamaha Music corp. With the founding of EARTH ACADEMY RECORDS [E.A.R.] in London, watch this space for a slew of new projects via the ongoing galactic coalition!
