Sanjiva is a groovy trance-like ambient project by Berliner-based musician Vartan M. Quack, who tries to implement the lessons of the Zen philosophy into his music.

The first beat-heavy entry in Sanjiva's series of new-age-of-trance recordings for Ninetysix Sounds, Origin is also a completely solo venture, with none of the percussion or Eastern instruments included on earlier albums. Several of the tracks here are surprisingly up-tempo as well, though they also work quite well for meditation and reflection.
