Autumn of Communion - Autumn of Communion 4

Artist: Anthony Lee Norris + Michael Gainford (Mick Chillage)
P: 2014

LTD 300
This 4th volume of the "Autumn of communion" series surely has at lot of magic, like 20 years ago many first fax releases had. However, this one sounds more refined and coherent as, say, "Silence 1" or the two "Dreamfish" releases. But surely AOC 4 draws a lot of the Namlook spirit, of which we should be grateful, and of course Steve Roach, and I still scent Klaus Schulze in the distance.

Be that as it may, this album has positive and at the same time melancholic feeling, like looking fondly backwards with no regrets, but ready to move forward. It has great ideas, a big flow, and even grandeur. A release to grace the memory of Pete Namlook.

I am curious how it will stand the test of time.

Mick Chillage - Saudade

Artist: Mick Chillage
P: 2014
LTD 300
Saudade is defined as "the recollection of feelings, experiences, places or events that once brought excitement, pleasure, well-being, which now triggers the senses and makes one live again." While Mick Chillage has been creating some of today's most priceless upbeat but laid-back electronic music, he brings home the 'Chill' in his moniker with a deep and heavily submersive ambient opus that ventures fathoms away from his previous masterpiece "FAXology." With Saudade, he shares deep reflections that are as divine as they are unforgettable.
