Booth + Creek
Jez Creek has been making electronic music as Modulator ESP since 2004. His music is improvised live and takes in elements of classic EM, ambient, drone and other experimental electronic sounds.
He has performed at Awakenings, City Skies, Dundee Live, electro-music, One Thousand Pulses, Rammel Club, Soundscapes and on the US radio shows Galactic Travels and Music with Space. This year he will also be performing at SoundFoursome and The Bungay Bash.
Jez produces a fortnightly radio show at electro-music.com called Adventures In Sound and an irregular collaborative show called Chez Jez featuring improvised performances with visiting musicians.
Jez is also the organiser of the Awakenings concert series in the UK.
Phil Booth, a long time fan of electronic music, began making his own music in 2005 under the name Zeitlos. He became a member of the band Pollard Daniel Booth which performed a series of concerts at E-Live, Hampshire Jam and Awakenings, and has released a number of albums. He is part of an ongoing project with Michael Daniel which has so far seen the release of the album Mutiny. He is also working on material with Steve Humphries (Create). Most recently he has joined forces with Xan Alexander (The Omega Syndicate) to form the band The Grey Encounter which has led to the production of an album, Dark Matter, which will be released at the pair's debut concert at Awakenings in March.
Jez & Phil first played together in 2008 as part of the band Cerberus with Michael Daniel. This project led to a live concert in which the band improvised a soundtrack to the silent movie The Cabinet of Dr Caligari. Since then the pair have played several concerts at Awakenings, the first as Zeitlos ESP then as Booth & Creek. They have played a live streaming concert on electro-music.com radio, and recorded together in the studio.
