Boots, Aerts, v.d. Heijden - BAH! Live in Sweden

Artist: Ron Boots, Kees Aerts & Harold van der Heijden
P: 1998

This CD-R contains music from the concert that Ron Boots, Harold van der Heijden and Kees Aerts gave in Sweden on the island Valö, on June 1 1998.
Individually numbered. No overdubs, no sound adding.
It offers eight very catchy tracks like Detachment, Smile, Breath and Below Paradise. Also featured are Among the Stars (from the well known Hypnos sampler "The Other World"), and the swinging album closer Gibberish.
This is your hit when you're a big fan of the music by Ron Boots & friends.
This CD-R was made as a 'one-off souvenir' for the fans who attended the concert.
Afterwards many people also wanted a copy so we made it available for them too. If we would have known that it would have been such a success then we would have released it as a proper CD.

Derelict thoughts (Ron Boots) -	Autumn Moon

Artist: Ron Boots
P: 2014

Derelict thoughts is the name Ron Boots is going to use for his Ambient releases.
For years Ron has been adding Ambient tracks to his music, on each CD there is a track
that would fit the description. But he is most known for his Sequencing and fast past
Electronic tracks. But under the name Derelict thoughts this well see his first all Ambient release since Too Many Secrets. Music described by those who visited his concerts together with Pieter Nooten in Amsterdam and The Hague as mesmerizing soundscapes with a warm sound.
Slow detailed flowing sound pieces that move in a natural organic way..
Autumn Moon is the music that was improvised during these performances.
For these 2 shows Ron played numerous versions during the preparation of them.
And from these preparations came the title track that is over 37 minutes long.
A long breathing piece of music that evolves like a dream.
If you like the soft side of Ron's music you will love this!!

Frank Klare + Ron Boots - Digitalic

Artist: Frank Klare & Ron Boots
P:
2007

"Digitalic" can be defined as pure Space Sequencer Music, with melodic atmospheres that come and go, as well as hypnotic sequencer solos in a trance key. The structure of the work is very rhythmic. The rhythms even sustain the melodies, in the shape of minimalist sequences that keep oscillating around a determined basis.
All the themes have been composed by Frank Klare, except for Digitalic Five and Digitalic Six, where Ron Boots has participated.

Frank Klare + Ron Boots - Monumental Dreams

Artist: Frank Klare & Ron Boots
P: 2004

Frank Klare is an experienced musician from Germany who already has a long career behind him in electronic music with band like Synco and Traumklang, numerous solo releases, many collaborations and a lot of appearances on compilation albums.
“Monumental Dreams” is dedicated to the “Tangerine Tree”-project, an initiate of Tangerine Dreams fans to release all kinds of live material from this legendary band. Not surprisingly, Frank’s music has traces of that of “TD”.
The sequences and melodies on “First Movement” and “Second Movement” could have come from a TD album out of the eighties (listen to these leading chords!).
Frank has a sound of his own. This can be heard very well in the sequences he uses. The one in “Third Movement”, for example, is excellent. “Fifth Movement” is a slow rhythmic affair with soft melodies. The highlight on the album is “Sixth Movement”; here Frank creates the best sequence on the cd and this, together with the typical TD-sounds, makes this track an absolute treat. After so many years of being around in electronic music, “Monumental Dreams” could mean the real breakthrough for Frank. And then the cover: again it is a fantastic surreal and futuristic masterpiece by the Argentine artist Pablo Magne. Within some tracks, Ron Boots joins the musician and gives all the special touch.

Ian Boddy + Ron Boots - Phase 3

Artist: Ian Boddy, Ron Boots & Harold Van Der Heijden
P: 1997

Phase 3" is a live collaboration from Ron Boots, Ian Boddy and Harold van der Heijden. This trio has contributed much to the European ambient electronica scene through their Groove Records associations in the 1990's. Ian and Ron are legitimate superstars. Harold is a master ambient percussionist. This album has it all! The music ranges from dark and lush atmospheric ambient minimalism to up-tempo rhythmic ambience. The superstar and master tags are not wasted here. Ian, Ron and Harold perform to the nth degree. The album encompasses all that live ambience should be - introspective, challenging and diverse.

John Kerr + Ron Boots - Juxtaposition The Bochum Bonus

Artist: John Kerr & Ron Boots
P: 2015

JUXTAPOSITION, THE BOCHUM BONUS is a supplement to the album JUXTAPOSITION. Musical creations which were intended for the first CD but didn't make it simply because of the limited capacity (79 minutes of music) of the medium. However, this doesn't mean that this album is a 'second choice' album. No, not at all! The Musicians are just as proud of the music on it as they are of the music on the first album. They had so much material that they decided to produce this second album instead of discarding it all. And here's the result!

John Kerr + Ron Boots - Juxtaposition The Oirschot Concert

Artist: John Kerr & Ron Boots
P: 2016

JUXTAPOSITION The Oirschot Concert was recorded live during E-Day 2016 with guest appearances by John Dyson, Frank Dorittke, Jeffrey Haster Bas Broekhuis and Harold v.d. Heijden. The recording was done from the Master desk in a stereo Wave file and additional audience recordings are from "illegal recordings by Andre Stooker and Niko Olofsen" thanks for them it made my life much easier :-) (Ron)
The filming was done by Niko Olofsen and his Son on 5 Samsung Phones. So although the quality is not solid 4K I think it is a remarkable achievement. The video was Tangenized (extra enhancements added) and edited by Niko Olofsen. We think he did a fabulous job on this with the material he had!!
John and I would like to thanks John Dyson, Frank Dorittke, Jeffrey Haster Bas Broekhuis and Harold v.d. Heijden for their remarkable performances during this concert. And if you keep in mind that all rehearsals where split (Yes we had NO full band rehearsal prior to the day it self which gave us about 15 minutes of rehearsal time!!) we are blessed with these 5 brilliant musicians. And a big thanks to the technical staff at the Enck (Bart and Bram) who helped us enormously! And for winfried Trenkler to come all the way from Sweden to see us live!
BUT the biggest that is for all you our audience. Over 300 people came to this E-Day 2016 which was the best visited E-Day to date! John and I would like to send our warmest regards to you all and we hope you will enjoy this registration as much as we did when we saw it the first time.

John Kerr + Ron Boots - Offshore Islands

Artist: John Kerr & Ron Boots
P: 1990 / 1998 / 2015

"Offshore Islands," by Ron Boots and John Kerr, was originally released in 1990. The unlikely pairing of John, known for his classical approach, and Ron, known for more cosmic soundscapes, was a stroke of genius. The resulting sound is a dramatic crescendo of energy and waves of unabashed sonic panache. The islands referenced in the title are offshore oil rigs, presumably in the North Atlantic. The album pays homage to the crews working the rigs and the hardships that they endure.
The music is crisp and clean. The diametric styles clash and conjoin, emphasizing the mutual respect that these artists have for each other and for their theme. The floating, gentle synthesizer washes of Ron Boots permeate this release, paving the way for his solo efforts to follow. John Kerr clearly influences this disc in terms of more melodic structure, and more than occasional new age leanings. However, Kerr and Boots seem to strike a balance, such that electronic purists who shy away from new age should not be too put off by it.
