"Dreamscape" was Ron Boots' first album to be released on CD.
With this CD release way back in 1990, Ron was voted the best newcomer of the year at Schwingungen on the radio.
We're talking pure unadulterated electronic music, not ambient nor any current-day incarnation of the genre. No, this is music back from the days when artists like Ray Lynch, Suzanne Ciani, Jean Michel Jarre and Boots himself released albums that celebrated the unique musical qualities of synthesizers themselves. And does this album perfectly capture the magic, drama, joy and mystery that albums like Equinoxe, Deep Breakfast, and Seven Waves filled
All tracks composed, played and produced by Ron Boots. 1989 to 1990.
No extra parts were add to this version.
Track 7 is played by Ron Doesborg, Bas Broekhuis, Eric v.d. Heijden, Wollie (4.46) and Ron Boots during an all night session in 1990 in Ron's living room.

Mystical, atmospheric soundscapes.
On his 2nd CD Ron worked together with Klaus Hoffmann-Hoock, founder of the German band Mind over Matter. The overall atmosphere is dreamy but the dynamic album closing Desert Clouds really puts you back on your feet!
Besides offering a more primal glimpse into Boots' music, this release delivers a softer side of Boots' electronic styling. The compositions are moodier here, more rooted in the ambience of Steve Roach or Michael Stearns than the powerful epics of Boots' more recent works. And yet, Boots introduces his own elegance to these atmospheric soundscapes, injecting subtle power to this peaceful sonic domain.
This is the 2002 remaster plus bonus track.

Special Packaging in a metal case
It all starts with the title track, which perhaps is the best piece of music Ron, has ever recorded. It is a collaboration between Ron and one of his many musical friends, drummer Harold van der Heijden. Loaded with many layers of impressive sequences, brilliant sounds and solos, the interaction between the two leads the listener back to the days when Klaus Schulze and Harald Großkopf worked together. Of course, there is more on the album: from the atmospheric strings in”KGM”, the gentle melodies in “Forgotten Memories” to the laid-back dancetrack “Soft Skin” in which he even sings!

“Liquid Structures In Solid Form” is another giant step forward in Ron’s career.

Ron Boots gives a very comprehensive list of instrumentation on his latest CD, and has always been one for mixing deeper sonic experimentation with the bouncy analog sounds, and more recently with exploiting the possibilities of both hardware and software synths. So here you can try to pick out the sounds of the Prophet 08, Poly Evolver, Alesis Fusion, Roland D50, Moog Voyager, Korg Wavestation and M1, Access Virus, Clavia Nord Lead and Oberheim OB12 keyboards among others, from the software choir Voices of Passion and soft synthesizers by Arturia, East West and Native Instruments.
There’s even a bit of vocals delivered by Ron, in a pleasant bass voice reminiscent of Demis Roussos, over a slowly rolling bass sequencer pattern on “The Roses of My Life”, while “Mea Culpa 2” counterpoints fizzing analog textures against clattering, filtered drums and a more up-front sequence reminiscent of recent Tangerine Dream.
Again it’s an album for fans of analog sound, but there’s quite a lot of sonic experimentation going on too, and some interesting juxtapositions of textures including drums and voices.
All songs composed, played and produced by Ron Boots expect part of the drums and the FX on track 1. They are partially by Harold v.d. Heijden and Michel van Osenbruggen.

"Himalya" is from the Klem CD #1. "Thomaskerk" is a piece recorded live in the Thomas Church on March 25 1990.
All tracks are carefully cleaned and valvenized to bring the music to nowadays standard but with preservation of the original feeling.
No overdubs or additional music is added.
