Frank Rueckert aka ueNN ('Above Ground Zero') presents his long-awaited new CD/DVD album 'Electronic Music'. Not only die-hard fans of this Mikrolux success project will notice that with 'Electronic Music' a new chronology has definetely started for ueNN: Nine of the eighteen tracks include comprehensive video art, produced by multi-talent Frank Rueckert himself from his second homebase in Barcelona. The beautiful video art of Frank Rueckert does not only follow the many subject of the music, but it picks up very consciously on his music and combines both world in to one unique piece of art. Naturally, all videos of 'Electronic Music' are included on this great DVD release - and in addition to this, the DVD contains many bonus features like previously unreleased remix versions as well as Dolby Surround 5.1 and 25 minutes of extra audio in hidden tracks. ueNN has evolved into a multi-media project with many facets, now appearing also with vj live perfomances on all major European festivals. German music tv station VIVA has recently broadcasted a 45 minute best-of-ueNN and a special feature for the innovate Flowmotion tv programme has just finished production. For the visualisation of his music, Rueckert uses many different stylistic devices. Very direct and close-to-reality expressions ('Reality') belong to Rueckert's repertoire just as much as mystifying abstractions ('Hypnosis') or subtle ironic connotations ('Summersky'). But it also the sarly less encoded use of moods and atmospheres which manage to surprise with this new ueNN longplayer - especially the use of vocals (in form of vocoder voices and other effects) is completely new to the sound of ueNN. Despite of all musical evolution, Frank Rueckert stays true to his roots between ambient and electro music, charming melodies and experimental sound explorations. And it is especially one fact that distinguish the eighteen tracks on 'Electronic Music': all of them are highly infective and extremely danceable. An outstanding release!

Ünn - Exit

Artist: Ünn

Mikrolux MKX18CD
This year, the Frankfurt-based multimedia artist Frank ueckert celebrates a double anniversary! Exactly 20 years ago, with Tribantura he released his very first track 'Lack Of Sense' on Talla2XLCs former label TDI. And this year, his most reknown project ueNN can look back on ten years of releases. With 'Exit', Rueckert now releases his fifth album. The biggest part of 'Exit' was produced in Southern Spain without direct contact to the outside world. 'Exit' moves far from any borders and far from this world. As the stylistically most varied album by ueNN, 'Exit' includes a number of ambient and vocal sound scapes which could not be more colorful and get their experimental and innovative attraction by various musical influences from Techno and Electro over Synthie-Pop up to Industrial and Dark Wave. This way, the Mikrolux artist once again moves far above the average level and, compared with his rather calm last album 'Silence', now uses faster and more groovy sounds. His tracks tell very special stories which are worth listening. The tracks 'Love Me' and 'Touch My Soul' transfer the bright sides of eartly life into audible poetry. The vocal guest appearance of La Gonzesse ('Escape The Time'), the smooth highlight of the CD, is followed by tracks like 'Lunar Orbit' and 'Asteroid' which move away from earth further and further. Finally, each end is a new beginning, and the light track 'Burning' is glimmering towards this in relaxed expectance.

Frank Rueckert aka ueNN about 'Exit':
'Exit' stands for a (repeated) breakout from stylistically narrow parameters. After doing two remixes for Sabrina Setlur recently, I was wondering about the musical constriction expressed in several reactions to this cooperation. Thus, the superior topic of 'Exit' is change and comeback. It is about trying to leave previous paths and to broaden one´s own horizon by going new ways. However, this does not mean to forget where you came from, but to leave something behind and open up to new experiences - like crossing an exit.

Elektrolux has the reputation of sometimes neglecting the emotional impact of music in favour of emphasising mechanical sounds. This, however, is not true for üNN, the main project of the Frankfurt multimedia artist Frank Rückert. Working as VJ for Sven Väth, Pascal FEOS, DJ Hell or Monika Kruse, the computer scientist is an integral part of the international Techno Club scene.
Frank Rückert is telling stories with sounds and is often surprised by himself while working in the studio: 'I love to jam a lot, and out of this unexpected and surprising ideas, the best tracks were produced'. This is the philosophy of his musical work. And by the impressionistic piano ('For The People'), Asia-like music box sounds ('Metamorphic'), with synthie melodies flirting with the early nineties ('Seconds Of Your Time') or densely-woven Liquid-Dub ('Into the Biosphere'), your inner cinema is stimulated in the most pleasant way.

Musically 'Flowmotion' incorporates a wide range of styles, including all kinds of contemporary electronica, downbeat/ambient and listening stuff. Elektrolux E10000000

For more than three years now, the unique TV format „Flowmotion“ is being broadcasted nightly via public german TV station Hessen Fernsehen. Within short time, „Flowmotion“ has reached a maximum of popularity and managed to established itself as a audio-visual platform for different kind of projects, producers and video artists – thus closing a gap that conventional mainstream music television continously failed to consider. The sensational success of „Flowmotion“ therefore truely speaks for itself: feedback from the immensely growing community of fans on every new edition of the programme is overwhelming and already the first compilation of the Flowmotion archives on DVD and CD („Flowmotion Visual Pleasure Vol. 1“) has delivered great results with fans and press alike. Over and over again, critics praise the extra-ordinairy quality of the graphic animations and videos while the convincing selection of music almost seems to be taken for granted. With „Flowmotion Visual Pleasure Vol. 2“ the second summary of recently broadcoasted tracks and songs is now being released and yet again, the compilation sets the pace. Over the course of the complete playing time, a sensitive suspense is being built, leading through the different songs, combining them to one monumental piece of art: „Flowmotion Visual Pleasure Vol. 2“ covers almost anything from deep downtempo excursions and mesmerizing soundscapes to dub deconstructions and orchestral electronica and features many listening milestones from ueNN „Three Pilots“ or Aural Float „Switchin’ The Wave Of Thought“ to Rescape’s „Lichtwaerts“ and Múm „Ballad Of The Broken Birdie Records“. Exceptional artists like Sushi Club, Naoki Kenji or Guardner complete this outstanding tracklisting and underline the claim of the Elekrolux team to create nothing less than a genre defying release. „Flowmotion Visual Pleasure Vol. 2“ doesn’t leave the slightest doubt about this approach.

How would you like to celebrate a special birthday? Would you prefer to wallow in sweet memories or would you prefer to look out for new future adventures ? Elektrolux seems to choose the second and, for their 10th Anniversary, releases a double CD which contains more than 20 previously unreleased tracks by some of the most renowned contemporary electronic listening producers (such as Aural Float, Fresh Moods, The Sushi Club, Gabriel Le Mar, Fous De La Mer, Ruxpin, Fortunato & Montresor and many more) and on top represents a comprehensive anthology with all known electronic listening styles 2005. Carefree summer excursions into the history of synthesizers (Groovecatcher 'The Electronic Kick'), slowmotion vocoder with mediteranean jazz (Guardner 'Everybody Needs'), tragic- melancolic dub- organs (Subtonal 'Back Home'), enchanting ambienttrance strings (Aural Float 'Still Here – Instrumental'), soulhouse hymns with analyzer crooning (Jean F. Cochois 'Electronique Love – Naoki Kenji Remix') or highly dramatic electro trance (Ruxpin 'Kiteboarding in the summer – Sniper Mode Remix'), everything’s possible. The Elektrolux Decade Compilation presents the perfect symmetry between harmonic high class electronic listening and a relaxed and modern understanding of dance-pop.
