Wladyslaw Komendarek is an instrumentalist and composer of electronic music encompassing numerous styles and fusions. He is of Polish-Lithuanian origin from the town of Sochaczew, near Warsaw. Wladek was born into an illustrious musical family with a long-standing keyboard lineage. From 1973 to 1983, Wladek was a member of the legendary Polish symphonic rock group:“Exodus”.

Wladyslaw Komendarek (or simply Wladek) is an instrumentalist and composer of electronic music encompassing numerous styles and fusions. He is of Polish-Lithuanian origin from the town of Sochaczew, near Warsaw. Wladek was born into an illustrious musical family with a long-standing keyboard lineage.
From 1973 to 1983, Wladek was a member of the legendary Polish symphonic rock group, “Exodus”. He has taken part in a variety of different music festivals and concerts including the Polish rock festival “Jarocin”, international electronic music festivals such as “KLEM” (the Netherlands), the “Wellenformen” International Electronic Music Festival (Germany) and Ars-Electronica (Austria), and the jazz festival “Jazz Jamboree” (Poland).
He is constantly producing new material as well as composing film scores and musical theatre. In his formative years Wladek was influenced, amongst others, by the following singers and bands: the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Manfred Mann, the Hollies, the Shadows, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, King Crimson, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Jimmy Smith, Refugee, Peter Gabriel, Yes, the Kinks, Genesis, Tangerine Dream, Supertramp, Ten Years After and Jan Hammer.
Today he likes to experiment with different musical genres including progressive rock, metal, post rock, ethnic, industrial, ambient techno, DnB, trance, electro, acid jazz, R&B, breakbeat, psychedelic, GOA, garage, hip-hop, abstract, reggae, alternative electronic and jazz.
As far as the studio is concerned, his favourite instruments are the Waldorf Q, Access Virus B, Nord Modular and the Nord Lead 3. All his old analogue equipment such as Roland's System 100, SH-2000 and SH-101 are always used for real-time recording. In addition he likes to use various effects to model the sound such as the Warp Factory Vocoder, Filter Factory Analogue and MO-FX Multiprocessor.
