A Connection to the Wonder reveals even more serene and gracious atmospheric interior spaces. Three long, deep sonic meditations make up Max Corbacho's new installment. Balanced carved resonations and dynamic sonic zones of transmutation, helping us to partake in an experience of beauty and honesty. Through his use of synthesizers and processors, Max's music connects with the magical reality of infinite moments in the present time, as the title states, "A Connection to the Wonder". The album travels on a mystical and revealing pilgrimage through immaterial layers of gracefully expansive synths and magmatic drones, that reach unfathomable depths, ending in a celestial journey of sweeping analog synth layers.
Like all Max's albums, this music is created to be heard as a sound incense background at a low or medium level, but also in a more active way at a higher volume. Either case, the immersive experience is total and unique. A Connection to the Wonder, a sanctuary of tranquility and warm, enveloping positive energy outside of time and space.

Max Corbacho returns with a long-form disc of his signature lighter-than-air drifts in Ars Lucis. Corbacho’s constructs float in higher registers, airy choral sounds occasionally lifted by a bass rumble updraft. This is, as the cover art suggests, a soundtrack for watching light filter through stained glass in a sacred space. Notes spiral angelically upwards in a slow dance, gracefully filling the air. There’s a delicate feel to the work here, as though a single touch would shatter it into glistening fragments. Ars Lucis is a disc that truly comes into its own when played as a low-volume loop, and it’s an ideal meditation CD. Although split into seven tracks, it plays as a seamless flow. The music here clearly resonates with Steve Roach’s influence on Corbacho’s style—I hear it in the slow-motion layering, the depth and soft elegance of sound that calls to mind the Quiet Music series. (I also hear hushed memories of Giles Reaves’ Sacred Space.) But influences aside, this is true-to-form Corbacho, with all the gentle beauty he’s exhibited in his past releases. It’s a welcome return from a talented ambient artist.

A ghostly twilight light invades the beginning of this new album by ambient artist Max Corbacho. If this sound emanating effortlessly from the depths of Max's studio can be transcribed into color, the chosen color would be sunset magenta. The whispering, slow synth lines come and go in a wave of blurred sound, thus unidentifiable, in a sea of reverberation, echoes and resonances in the ocean of time. Max Corbacho traces in these three pieces the quintessence of his art developed for more than 20 years with a mysterious creation. An epiphany of pure, atmospheric and minimal ambient sound.

Spanish producer Max Corbacho has been creating atmospheric ambient music for over 20 years now and his newest ‘Echo and Longing’, just might be his most out of this world creation yet. The title song welcomes you to the beginning of an unknown and other-worldly vast space. A cavernous space that is as majestic as it is mysterious. Like the title of the song and album it has long droning tones developing effortlessly in heavy echo. Eerie, awe-inspiring and almost too powerful to describe, this track is a language almost as if the universe’s secrets are being revealed to man. Expansive is an understatement. One of the most moving audio examples of creating an enviorment I have heard and the last few minutes are breathtaking. ‘Embryo of Drones’ continues the wonderment thru this new world with a bit more crystalized and faster moving tones. Ever-evolving and with a more complex language this track makes a nice spatial bridge to the finally. ‘The Noble Beyond’ makes the odyssey all worthwhile as you enter its paradise. Dynamic and immersive it allows you to wander around its garden of sounds that surround you without fear. You are rewarded in a beautiful and an angelic manner as the song moves thru to more found peacefulness as it slowly fades. A well paced, bridged and complete release, Max Corbacho continues to create landscapes and journeys worth revisiting again and again. Max is one of the best at this craft.

Equinox is a sound distillation from an idea created in 2019 that has taken definitive form in recent months as a serene, breathing, bright and positive long track. Distinct, undulating streams of synths create a silky smooth, emotionally caressing plot, slowly moving in gentle spirals of majestic chords. The mesmerizing, dreamy texture lingers for nearly 74 minutes to deliver a calming session of soothing back and forth, like a gentle wave of sound with a shimmering light. Powerful synthesizers make a statement of presence and unity throughout the piece, an atmospheric invitation to celebrate the passing of the different life stages. Here again, Max Corbacho excavates a sound sculpture based on honesty and independence as a distinctive mark from the beginning of his career as an ambient space producer more than twenty years ago. A piece for equanimity, hope and positivity, a synth meditation celebrating sonic alignment with life and wholeness.

On Disc 1, there are nine new tracks rescued from Max Corbacho's archives. Some were included in compilations, and others are completely unreleased. Disc 2 contains the original album released by Relaxed Machinery.

- Catacombs of Perception, Slow Thunder, and Third Exposure are three pieces that belonged to an early version of The Talisman.
- The Present Miracle and Ceremonial Sky (included in the soundtrack of the cult game Neocron) are pieces that were created around 2001–2002.
- After Dream, North Rose Alignment, and Beyond Vaults were created for Ars Lucis but were ultimately not included in the album.
- Oversoul and Slow Rust were included in compilations for the Atmoworks and Relaxed Machinery labels, respectively.
- In Mind, Spirit, and Light was created in 2006 and never released.
- Earthflow Trance was specially composed for a concert in 2005.
- One True Light and Mandala were created during the sessions for BreathStream.
- Endless Formations was created for a collaboration album that was not made.

The beauty of magnificently immersing nocturnal landscapes of Aragón region in northeastern Spain is resurrected once more! Max Corbacho, the Spanish driftscaper par excellence has released the second chapter of "Nocturnes" series during April 2018 through his Silentsun imprint. "Nocturnes II" CD is packaged in an attractive glossy 4-panel digipak, exhibiting original cover photographs by Max Corbacho with additional layout work by Michael Rodriguez Pletz. The opening "Celistia" track clocks over 23-minute mark and immediately takes the listener into an awe-inspiring vastness, where undisputable, timelessly gliding and ebbing insignias of its sole purveyor meticulously coalesce with balmily glimmering nightly quietudes and inconspicuously permeating faunal symphonies. A journey through grandiosely barren horizons is fully unfolded, Max Corbacho again unlocks the gates to soulfully fascinating terra incognitas. Indeed, an epic listening experience awaits here! Shorter "Nocturnal Bloom" clandestinely soars into even more expansive grandness, a gracefully colossal realms owned by this Spaniard. It's a pity not even a 4 minutes long ambrosial exploration is gone too fast. But no worries, almost 9-minute "Starlight Grace", as indicated by its title, steals the splendor with all its panoptically prodigious monumentality, free-floating spatial solitariness is exquisitely juxtaposed with surges of titillatingly mindscaping reverberations. Tenaciously monstrous, pure magic!!! "Heart Of The Night" is another rather ephemeral odyssey, yet intensely engrossing, where all hues of organic tapestries persistently amalgamate with voluminously undulating magmatic stratums. "Indigo Sphinxes In Dark Canyon", at 3:10 the shortest venture on the album, tightly keeps breathtaking tension of its predecessor, but an array of ear-bending piquant meridians steals the whole spectacle. I keep on delving deeply into staggeringly perplexing chasmal domains... "Timelapse" returns to relatively calmer terrains, but sonic metamorphosis seems to be unstoppable and surreptitiously nuanced scenario moves into a profoundly delightful monolithic vertex. Then through peaceful diminuendoing closing this spellbindingly transcendental circle. Big applaud, Maestro!!! 20-plus minutes long "Moon Apparition" delicately reveals the genius loci of these arid sceneries, where gracefully meandering panoramas of dronescapes precisely harmonize with genuinely shimmering nocturnal field recordings and transitorily trenchant climaxes. Tranquilly enveloping conclusion! No matter if entering enthrallingly overwhelming skylines, nebulously extraterrestrial spheres, mysteriously labyrinthine inner zones, spectacularly subaqueous depths or majestically monumental architectural masterpieces, Max Corbacho always delivers the very best of his virtuosic soundcarving, a rewardingly abundant momentum of tremendously sophisticated wizardry in sculpting powerfully transporting opuses. With gem like 70-minute "Nocturnes II", but also with "Source Of Present", "Nocturnes" and most especially with recently released "Horizon Matrix" (out since November 30th, 2018), Max Corbacho is triumphantly chasing quintessential milestones such as "Ars Lucis" and "The Ocean Inside". Once again, bravo, Maestro!!!

Nocturnes III closes the trilogy started in 2017 by Max Corbacho, continuing in this new installment the exploration of stillness and primordial, organic themes, through the mystical connection with his synthesizers. Through that physical, intimate, organic and tactile interaction with his fully hardware instruments Max can more deeply convey his sonic world with an incredibly sensitive, deep and detailed touch. For the occasion the artist has resorted to his entire sonic palette based on both analog and digital synthesizers, as well as an elaborate archive of samples and organic atmospheres. A hauntingly surreal soundscape opens the album, gliding quietly across the stages of the mists of time. Altar Of Stillness is an intense and multi-layered textured work that dates back in its creation to the time of the 2003 album "Indalo". This track has been mutating all these years through subtle transformations until it has reached its current form, ready to open this new Corbacho collection. The subtlety of an artist in his creative maturity crystallizes the following tracks as immense unfathomable expanses of sound, from the organically surreal Sleeptime Spores to the infinite mercurial chords of Skywatchers. The feeling of nocturnalness prevails throughout the album but it is a luminous, radiant nocturnal feel, appealing to mystical telluric forces of the night, its mystery and its unfathomable meaning in the human psyche. With the soft and intricate fabric of these sound worlds, Max traces a quiet path in which to immerse ourselves in a unique experience.
As described in the two preceding installments, the inspiration for the Nocturnes trilogy came from Corbacho's night photography featured in the series artwork. In Max's words: "Nocturnes III completes the trilogy begun in 2017. I remember the feeling of excitement and amazement experienced during my nocturnal excursions to these places. Showing these photographs as a wrapper for these new soundscapes inspired by calm and mystery is the best way to share these feelings. The most vivid memory of these nights is the silence, the stillness, the sparkling light of the stars and the sweet fragrance of thyme that permeates everything in these regions of Aragon in Spain ".
The CD version is a special collector's edition limited to 200 copies.
