Harald Nies - Cableworld

Artist: Harald Nies
P: 2012
„Cableworld“ is the name of the new album of the spacerock-musician Harald Nies. Whereas his last album “Torodial Sequences” was dominated by experimental, meditative moments, with his new album the musician shows a slightly different side: “Calbleworld” is full of catchy melodies at a high level using sounds from past and present. Elegant guitar-soli are skilfully combined with dreamy sequences. Nies even adventures a short trip to the world of 4tothefloor in his own manner. “Cableworld” is full of music, which does not follow a fixed scheme but whose catchy grooves invite the audition to daydreams. Moreover, the theme of the album “Calbleworld” can be found in the music immediately which makes the album, a real insiders’ tip.

Harald Nies - Cryptic Labyrinth

Artist: Harald Nies
P: 2008/ 2009
"Cryptic Labyrinth" is spacemusic as You will like it: pulsating sequences a´la Chicane, soft
rhytmic beats and in between Harald´s rockin´electronic guitar. Although his music is soft, warm and melodic, it is not cheesy at all. On "Delay Rama" is a special track for spacerock-fans. The artists shows with this track what can happen if you will play a single guitar with diffrent reverb-rooms.
The album was produced in 2008 and is now released for the first time.

Harald Nies - Earthcreator

Artist: Harald Nies
P: 2010
With "Earth Creator" Harald Nies delievered his best album so far. Catchy synthesizer-melodies gently accompanied by electric guitar solos. So far only time not new. What is special about "Eartcreator" is that the musician do not add so much songs but they produced with longer play time. And that's good. Ideas are not just playing dead, but there are always identify new variants and facet. There are also some EM elements of the 80s and 90s flashing. In particular give brief ethnic elements "Earth Creator" a special atmosphere. In sum, the album is very relaxing and has a high daydream factor.

Harald Nies - Planet of three suns

Artist: Harald Nies
P: 2005/ 2006
Once again Harald Nies turns in a wonderful album of cosmic/space rock guitar, spacey synths, and a melodic feel that is quite similar to the best of Ashra and Mind over Matter. The overall feeling of the album is quite melodic and relaxed, though the first track is a driving slice of spacy synthrock, similar to some of Ashra's music, but with the drums and percussion quite far in the background, the foreground dominated by ostinato guitar figures and synth leads.Track three, Nightszene, showcases the album's dominant feel with its mellow synth background and layers of melodic spacy guitar, that have all the melodicism and feel of the best of Ashra and Mind over matter in their more reflective moments.Track Four, Arthors Dance,is a faster sequencer based piece, which has some elements of the "Berlin" style, but is more structured and contains yet more superb guitar playing, with soaring leads flying over the backing of sequences and synths. Track Five Moog is Rise Again is another sequencer based track, but with no guitars. Lead synth lines grace rippling arpeggios and a solid rythmic synth backing, evolving into majestic mid-eighties TD like chords and rippling synths.Track six features guitar again, and starts with ostinato guitar lines that gradually give way to layers of cosmic synths, the guitar surfacing from time to time to provide the rhythmic backbone of the music.Track eight, another highlight, takes us into symphonic synth territory, with majestic synyhs and plaintive electric guitar evolving halfway through into a "Vangelis"-like progression complete with a guitar melody and synth leads. This is the most melodic track on the album.Track nine is similar, though without guitar. The final track,Lydian Sun,is another laid-back,melodic musical excursion, with some very evocative synth leads, deep bass backing, minimal percussion, guitar leads, synth arpeggios, and an overall feel that brings to mind the melodicism of Vangelis and later Tangerine Dream without the saccharine(or saxaphone)excess that they were prone to during the late eighties. This is a great album which is as different again from Restart from Sedna (Krautrock) as that was from Planet and Gongs (space/cosmic), and sees Harald Nies exploring more melodic ground.

Harald Nies - Spacejuggler

Artist: Harald Nies
P: 2007
If Magnetic Deflection pleased, Dual Systems (NOW called SPACEJUGGLER) will do it again for sure. Harald Nies continuous it work undertaken on its 3rd opus, but with more audacity. His evolution is clear (Orange Temple, Magma Chakra and Organic Section), testifying an increasing maturity and a taste to develop a more complex music, but always by privileging an accessibility, an opening for a still tepid public. A good album, with beautiful lucky finds.

Various Artists - Electronic Music for Life

Artist: Maxxess, Moonbooter, Spyra, Robert Schroeder,
You, Eroc, B.Kistenmacher, Wellenfeld u.v.a.

P: 2011
All new titles compsed for this compilation.
On March 11th, 2011, Japan had to experience the most powerful earthquake of its history. Pictures of the following Tsunami were seen around the world. This natural catastrophe caused extensive and long lasting consequences. In one word: Fukushima.
Ten thousands of people died, hundred thousands are homeless. Families, children and old people are fighting for their livelihood. The world is shocked and takes share in the fate of the concerned. The quiet and proud japanese people welcome this solace. But even a country like Japan cannot manage the enormous challenges alone. Therefore, the consoling words have to be followed by action!
Based on this thought, Mellowjet-Records started the project "Electronic Music FOR LIFE" shortly after the catastrophe. The idea was to release a compilation and to donate the complete revenue to a charitable organisation. The response and readiness of the addressed artists to support this project was overwhelming. So, INTERDISC agreed to sponsor the first release of a double-cd-production. Even more artists joint the project.
The Eroc Mastering Ranch offered a free audio mastering. Company Rebeat offered the free digital marketing and added a special sponsoring package. A survey among the participating artists confirmed, that the revenue should be donated to the Deutsches Rotes Kreuz (DRK). Due to this remarkable development the DRK was convinced to support this project by allocating their logo. Within a few weeks only, Mellowjet-Records was able to compile and produce an excellent, 150 minutes long double-cd which involves all faces
of contemporary electronic music. Most of the 27 songs from 27 different bands and musicians have been composed exclusively for this project.
Only to mention some: Robert Schroeder, Eroc, Bernd Kistenmacher, Rolf Maier Bode, Harald Grosskopf, Mythos, Matthias Beine, Wellenfeld, Dithmar, moonbooter, Uwe Reckzeh, Spyra and many, many more. Besides dreamy sequences of Berlin School, powerful chorals, piano-ballades, orchestral works and danceable electronic music this double-cd offers as well experimental pieces, synthiepop, spacerock, chillout and ambient
music. Thus, this album should be part of every collection!
All artists as well as the label waive their share of profits. The whole revenue from sales of the double-cd and downloads will be donated to a project of the Deutsches Rotes Kreuz and will support the people in Japan directly.
Please support the victims in Japan by buying this album. Even if the world tends to forget quickly: the misery will remain in the everyday life of the people in Japan for a very long time.
Thank you very much!
