After the previously released ‚Schlafphase’ was one of the best selling albums in the Elektrolux history, we’re now proud to present Index ID’s second longplayer entitled ‚Expedition’. Following on from the still large 12“ ‚Horizont’, comes this longawaited new album release, and be sure it is one to die for. Index ID aka Ralf Uhrlandt doesn’t need a special introduction so we won’t bother. Eleven tracks that epitomize Uhrlandt’s very own sound and cover a wide range from several trippin’ slow jams and downbeat tunes, swinging midtempo grooves and minimal techhouse business. An album that takes the genre defying Index ID style even further in a collision of many different ingredients. Even some string laden soundscapes and afro-tronic influences come in, engulfing some tracks more or less dreamily. Then again you have this overall dubby and atmospheric feel giving this album an added dimension while making way for some delicious funktified rhythms. ‚Expedition’ is a sensational release of exceptional quality that both soothes your ears and still keeps that feet firmly on the dancefloor. Elektrolux is proud to present the eagerly awaited DVD release according to the well-known and incredibly popular 'Flowmotion' tv series. 'Flowmotion' started in the summer of 2000 and is nightly broadcasted via public german tv station HR (and Astra satellite for its widespread international viewers). The format soon developed a very own identity due to Elektrolux' entire artistic control, as the label is fully responsible regarding the format's audio-visual content providing own video material and music. Picking up where 'Space Night' has gone this forward-thinking project takes things even further. The visual side of the show embodies artist videos and experimental film/video material courtesy of Elektrolux affiliated artists as well as external sources. Musically 'Flowmotion' incorporates a wide range of styles, including all kinds of contemporary electronica, downbeat/ambient and listening stuff. Considering the fact that 'Flowmotion' has started only a short time ago, the success of this groundbreaking format is impressing.
