Mind-Flux
Michael Kersten, born 1960 in Varel and Thomas Fanger, born 1962 in Berlin met at the Berlin open air festival "Klangmeile" in 1979. They combined their analogue synthesisers and sequencers, which were mostly custom made and created their first electronic sound sculptures. In the 80s Fanger and Kersten focused more on rhythm based electronic experimental ideas. They worked with singers and other instrumentalists and also composed several pieces for art exhibitions. In the late 1980s they started to blend their psychedelic roots with modern style elements such as contemporary beats. Now they called themselves Mind-Flux. In 1997 they founded their second project Fanger & Kersten. Until today they released 10 longplay cds, 1 vinyl e.p., 1 maxi-cd and 2 dvds.
