Artist: Boast & Rothe P: 1998 / 2009 Smooth guitarplay by Antony Boast combined with the athmospheric synthesizersounds of Walter Christian Rothe result in a beauty, calm relaxed music for your inner mind, within 3 long tracks.
Artist: Pillion P: 2014 A very good combination between, synthesizer, sequencer, fieldrecordings and violin. It reminds of works from Indra, Klaus Schulzes Dune or many Broikhuis, Keller and Schönwälder works.
Artist: Pillion P: 2006 / 2012 Pillion’s "Halcyon" is an album that was shelved after it was recorded in 2006, taking another two years before it was remastered. The concept album tells a story about the changes in life one has been forced to do, if you have no choice, confirming what Pillion was all about: a way of life, a message, a vision, being yourself and "freak out"."Halcyon" was actually composed for a stage play, based on the little Greek mythology story which can be read on the cd-cover. Well, the six overall melodic tracks, made with a couple of musicians Walter was on tour with in 2006, more or less continue in the tradition of the Pillion style. I dare even say it turns the music of the "Enigmas"-release fully inside out. Due to the energetic guitar work by Peter Heijnen and the accompanying power drums and percussion by Herwig Duchateau, the outcome sounds more progressive and rock-influenced. At times, the sequencing and used sounds realm in the aura of TD’s classic music. "Halcyon’s" at times cinematic, music offers lots of breaks, giving the impression there was a lot of improvisation going on during the recordings. This makes the 66- minute album versatile, but also needing various spins to fully grab it.
Artist: Frank Quasar, Patrick Kosmos Venja, Symbian u.a. P: 1995 The belgium label Art For Ears produced 3 samplers during the 90s, which showed the current stand of belgium ambient music. The well known artists gave new tracks for the collections and it is still a very good review of the belgium Ambient scene at that time. Here the last copies!
Artist: Walter Christian Rothe P: 1987 / 2017 Walter has successfully bridged the seemingly impossible gap between vocals and instrumental electronics with a flowing concept album. That was thousands of albums ago and hearing it 30 years on, Alice sounds as timeless as ever. The original form eluded a CD release and in a positive way, it still does. It was great preparing this classic from a fan and collector to other peers. This first CD release features 3 Bonustracks.
Artist: Walter Christian Rothe P: 1985 / 2016 Enigmatic, surreal, futuristic and ultimate romantic are the keywords to best describe Walter's first album "Let the night last forever". It was first released in 1985. The production of this album is STUNNING!! And I am glad we got the original files from Walter for the mastering. As special gift on this album there are 2 bonus tracks from that same period. One is from the Klem Cassette from 1986.
