„Different Worlds“ ist he theme of 2011th album of Faber. And the music keeps what the title promises: diversified electronic music. Once chilling, once electronic, once earthy, smooth, soft, coltish. Intended or not, even Oldfield- and Schulze-fans are announced sometimes. All songs have one thing in common: they are positive and spread high spirits. Dark sound scapes are not part of “Different Worlds”. Faber-typical, the music is carried by memorable melodies, which is good. “Different Worlds” is a summer-album for the fun of all electronic fans: on the beach, travelling or at home on your balcony. Even on his 14th album it remains exciting with Faber. He remains true to his very own style of melodic EM, this time paired with earthy instruments and epic choirs. He skilfully packs all this into contemporary electronic sounds. Faber takes more time with his music and that's what you hear. The music seems more mature, but always retains the playful charm of the musician. He plays with different styles of the classical EM. Kaleidoscope" is always fresh and lively. A good mood and time to think your own thoughts are guaranteed.

After two years break now the current and 13th album of Faber. The break has obviously done well. "Monumentum" is bursting with fresh and new ideas. Thereby, Faber's unknowable style is of course given. The sound selection is a bit different this time. In addition to the familiar electronic sounds, you can also discover really natural instruments. Thus, on "Monumentum" also two guest musicians have become: Jann Hansen on the trombone and Freddy Schlender on the guitar. This means that the album has an extra organic touch. Despite the different styles, the album sounds like a piece. "Monumentum" was not revised tonally. 100% Faber.

Super catchy pieces. Melodic, rhythmic and with great synth solo sounds, some sound very bombastic and  some in the style of the 70s French electronic music with elements of Kraftwerk and Yello. Very mixed up and a real ear-catcher.

His third CD shows more melodic spacemusic, with some softer elements from the spacerock corner. Sometimes some e-guitar soli by the guitar player Andy Murphy show us the way. So this is a versatile relaxed EM-CD.

With his second album "Spaceseed" Faber ties in with his style he impressively presented on his first album "Spacefish". Although "Spaceseed" appears more technoid and versatile. Mr. Schmidt successfully created an interesting symbiosis: songs, that initially sound like electronical sounds of power-generating band-legends, mutate to Faber's own sound-sphere after some minuted. We like to describe "Spaceseed" as diversified, well produced space-album that offers, besides catchy melodies the musical development of the artists. Recommended to all open minded friends of traditional EM...
