Artist: Brainwork P: 2011 Brilliant melodies with sequences and anthem like themes are to be heard on this genius new CD from Brainwork. His usual style with sparkling Berlin School sequences on a modern rhythm background. The title Berlin City speaks for itself ( hello to Klaus Schulze...), perfect. Here the last copy!
Artist: Brannan Lane P: 2003 As much as I love full-length solo albums, there is always a different, special feeling when I encounter the collaborative work of a favorite artist. It gives an artist previously familiar to the listener a chance to stretch out and try new ideas and sounds--often freshening that artist's sound considerably in the process. Ambient music collaborations are common, thankfully, and often represent the best albums the genre has to offer. While I certainly don't believe Anthony Wright's musical project Ashera needs any sound freshening, I was particularly interested to see what regions he'd end up in throughout his first collaboration with the prolific Brannan Lane, Sextant. Ashera's sound occupies a narrow (though impressively expressive and beautiful) niche in ambient. Lane himself is something of a stylistic chameleon, creating varied works in each of the ambient sub-genres, though never with a voice that one can consider Lane's own. Just where would a collaboration between these two go, and would it be a complimentary journey? Here the last copy!

Artist: Brasil + The Gallowbrothers Band P: 2010 LTD 350 Comes in gatefold, heavy cardboard sleeve. Some strange and deep, dark psychedelic tracks from these polish underground musicians. Sounds like early 70 experimental prog rock out of a cottage in the deep dark forest. Here the last copy!
Artist: Brian Eno P: 1982 / 2004 Here the remasterd version. First released in 1982, On Land is Eno's most mature, perfect ambient work. Combining low, rumbling synths with eerie banging and clanking and the occasional wild-animal chirp or grumble, this recording places the listener alone, in the midst of a massive piece of sonic landscaping. And Eno has left no detail to chance. In fact, the work is so complete that when Eno suggests a windswept plain, the listener gets a chill. When trumpeter Jon Hassell bays with a softly disturbing imitation of a wounded beast, the first instinct is to scan the horizon for its glinting eyes. So subtle, intuitive, and well paced is this recording that as it slips quietly from the speakers and into every corner of the listening room, it transforms the space into a gently pulsing sound environment that seems strangely out of time and away from everything. It's a place you'll be drawn to time and time again. An ageless masterwork. Here the last copy!
