This album is a mix between Patrick O'Hearn and Deuter. Melodic Flute and Synthesizer music.
Remember classic concept albums like Pink Floyd's DARK SIDE OF THE MOON, or Yes' TALES FROM TOPOGRAPHIC OCEANS? Washington state keyboardist Jeff Johnson and Irish flutist Brian Dunning harken back to those days with albums like Songs of Albion and Byzantium that use books as imagistic launch pads.

Jerome Froese - Neptunes

Artist: Jerome Froese
P: 2005

Jerome Froese's first-ever solo album. For those well acquainted with his history, it might not come as a big surprise that a big part of the sound is dominated by Jerome's guitar work. On "Neptunes", shoegazing guitar walls meet melodic solos and crystalline acoustic pickings on a distinctive electronic foundation.

Johannes Schmoelling - Songs No Words

Artist: Johannes Schmoelling
P: 1995

Certain sections of the music in "Songs No Words", which is Schmoellings 4th solo album, are meant to be a mixture of two music styles. The classical-romantic music of the 19th century and the popular electronic music of the present. Pieces such as "Hymnus" or "Funeral March" are examples of this. "It is my attempt to combine traditional instruments such as the piano, the clarinet or string instruments, including traditional melodies and harmonies, with electronically generated sounds from synthesizers and samplers, and modern rhythms." This resulted in new stereophonic sounds. Virtual stereophonics produced by the electronic music are combined to the known and experienced stereophonics of traditional music (the so called, "classical music"). In turn, the sound achieves more depth and scope, stereophonics and composition become equal partners during the production of music." (Johannes Schmoelling) The title of the CD "Songs No Words", and the individual tracks, are based on the style from the piano album "Lieder ohne Worte" by Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, published 1834.
Recorded at Rietstudio, Berlin, Germany between 1992-1994 by Johannes Schmoelling
All tracks composed, performed and produced by Johannes Schmoelling
