Tangerine Dream - The Endless Season (TDI Version)

Artist: Tangerine Dream
P: 2010

Even after the worst scenario which happened to the two Japanese cities Nagasaki and Hiroshima, there is a life after so much suffering from grief and pain. The fifth sequel of 'The Five Atomic Seasons' – The Endless Season - shows the couple moving back to their monastery in order to receive a very special instruction how to cope with life these days. The music reflects the mixture of feelings during this conversation and also the slightly positive change of consciousness towards a ‘life-after-death’ situation. The Eastgate team already had the opportunity to hear this dynamic complex work and they said, it's the best of the series!! Will this statement withstand the fans' opinions? This could become tricky.

Tangerine Dream - The Park is Mine

Artist: Tangerine Dream
P: 1986 / 1991

This album, recorded in winter of 1984, just as the band came back from the Poland tour, was published years later by Silva Screen Records, without permission of the band. The latter perhaps did not plan to release the soundtrack, and therefore the musical material appearing on this CD is rather raw, without proper remix and mastering. Sound is unbalanced throughout the album, and editing is choppy indeed. What a difference in comparison to the officially released albums that were mastered by Tangerine Dream themselves!Musically, this album is the closest to its immediate predecessor, "Poland", and heavily borrows in theme from that recording. You might suppose that the best fragments were utilized on "The Park Is Mine", but no, actually, one fragment that is prominent on this album is taken from the very ending of the live album, "Poland", and that fragment is the weakest point of the latter, in fact the only weak point of that album. While it has some high points, the overall impression is quite that of mediocrity. According to Christopher Franke, the leading member of the band, they had only two weeks of free time in 1984, the rest spent in the recording studio, composing music for various movies they signed contracts for.

Tangerine Dream - The Private Music of

Artist: Tangerine Dream
P: 1992
This album is a compilation of short tracks from "Melrose", "Optical Race" and "Lily On The Beach" with two non-album tracks thrown in. It is representative of the group's more recent tendency to fill albums with short 'tunes', rather than the almost symphonic compositions of the 1970s. The tunes are crisp and faultless.
