Artist: Peter Mergener P: 2025 Chip Meditation was one of Software's most successful IC albums in the 80s. Peter Mergener was primarily responsible for the music at the time and is now celebrating the 40th anniversary of a cult album that set standards in the electronic music scene with Chip Meditation 2025. Music to dream to. That's what electronic music listeners associate with Chip Meditation. On Chip Meditation 2025, the Software-typical sequences (trademark!) bubble out of the choir sounds, intertwining with warm pads and building up to a successful Berlin School track. The sounds develop fluidly, with occasional effects and touches of color reminiscent of Klaus Schulze or Tangerine Dream, gaining depth through the pad sounds. Peter Mergener thus knows how to perfectly showcase these traditional Berlin School style elements in a contemporary, full-bodied sound, creating an atmosphere where you can "bathe" like in the old days. Fans have had to wait a long time for Peter to revive the "old days." Sweet dreams!
Artist: Peter Mergener P: 2023 Peter Mergener, known since the 80s for his IC releases under the name "Software", celebrates a small comeback with "New Horizons" and presents a first-class Berlin school album in the old Software style. After Tangerine Dream and Klaus Schulze, Mergener was the "next generation" of the Berlin School and enjoyed great popularity with "Electronic Universe" and "Phancyful Fire". After numerous stylistically different publications on different labels, Peter has recently become quieter. All the more gratifying that Peter used the time to produce a first-class electronic album again. Harmonious choir pads create a deep atmosphere from which hypnotic sequences gradually emerge, condense and build up to a top Berlin School title. A diverse, homogenous album has emerged, compositionally flowing with sensitivity, incorporating stylistic elements of Klaus Schulze, Tangerine Dreams and also Atmos, which are known from software. Great for dreaming and drifting away. Here the last copy!
Artist: Software P: 1998 One of the last CDs by Software in the original line-up. Mergener / Weisser with bombastic arrangements. Here the last copy!
