Re-Release of Klaus Schulze’s “Androgyn” (originally released 2002 as part of the strictly limited and long exhausted 5CD Boxset “Contemporary Works II”).

The first track on “Androgyn” has again, like on “Another Green Mile”, the cello of Wolfgang Tiepold and some odd voice samples added to interesting synth sounds. The long second track has Klaus on electric guitar and for good reason it’s called “Back To The Future”: Klaus plays the guitar with a “Gleiteisen”, a piece of iron that he used in the “cosmic slide guitar technique” from old Ash Ra Temple times, 32 years ago. The next four tracks belong together. “There’s No Mystery” has a voice and the adequate and efficient cello again…and of course it has Klaus’ famous string accord in the back; you already heard it on “Another Green Mile” (MIG 01712) and can hear it again on further albums. As “Androgyn” comes to it’s end it gets more rythmic. For the final title “This House Full Of Shadows” I noticed at first listening: “Will be liked by the people”. We hear again Wolfgang Tiepold’s expert cello. (KDM, 2002)

Re-Issue of the albums, which was part of the strictly limited and long exhausted 2002 5CD boxsets „Contemporary Works II”.
The first track "The Lonely Dead Of Midnight" is dominated by an acoustic guitar.
Second Track "They Shut Him Out Of Paradise" is a typical long Schulze track. The voice you hear was a high female voice before Klaus transposed it with his tools. As so often with Klaus when he uses a singer, it's not the lyrics he takes interest in (if there are any) but just the sound of the voice.Last track on this album "Die Prophezeiung erfüllt sich" articulates its title at the very beginning. It is a long sample. Very calm.

Re-release of the saught-after Klaus Schulze album „Cocooning“, previously released as part of the strictly limited and long exhauseted 5CD Boxset „Contemporary Works II“ (2002).

First track “Easy Listening” is well-difined by the relaxed loops of Tom Dams and the filigree guitar play of Michael “Mickes” Luecker.

The mysterious sounding “And She Is Kind And Gently” don’t need any rhythm – a dialogue between Klaus and Tobias Becker, whose oboe and English horn is pleasing the ear on almost all Cocooning tracks.

The third track „I Just Have To Sing My Hymns“ brings back further well known companions of Klaus Schulze: singer Julia Messenger and Thomas Kagermann on violin, flute and vocals.

The last five songs are a song connected cycle of „It Still Is Now“, „Blowin‘ Thru The High Grass“, „Many Dreams Have Faded In“, „Many Fears Have Vanished“ and „As Years Went By“. A worthily and impressive continuance of “Easy Listening full of atmosphere.

The title „Cocooning“ is program and coats the listener into soft sounds and relaxed rhythms – real „easy listening“ without getting fiddling or even boring.
