Artist: Mark Jenkins P: 2025 T.O.N.T.O. is the huge expanded double Moog Modular synth created by Malcolm Cecil and Robert Margouleff for two legendary albums - "Zero Time" (1971) and "It's About Time" (1974), the name standing for "The Original New Timbral Orchestra". Stopping only to feature the system in the Brian De Palma movie "Phantom Of The Paradise", the duo went on to produce four groundbreaking albums with Stevie Wonder, and others with Gil Scott-Heron, Steve Hillage and many more. Now music tech expert Mark Jenkins ("Tubular Bells for the Moog Synthesizer", "Dark Side Of The Moon for the Moog Synthesizer") has been given exclusive access to the T.O.N.T.O. system in Canada to create a new album, "T.O.N.T.O. Lives!". Mark says "The T.O.N.T.O. albums were among my first musical influences and their combination of great quirky melodies with wonderful electronic textures still stands up "T.O.N.T.O. Lives" features 9 tracks running 56 minutes in total, all featuring the T.O.N.T.O. system alongside its built-in ARP Solina and 2600 synths, Hohner Clavinet, vocoder, electronic and acoustic drums and sound effects.
Artist: Klaus Schulze P:2007 / 2025 Kontinuum from 2007 consists of three typical Schulze longtracks. The first track, "Sequenzer (from 70 to 7)," takes the listener back to the 1970s with its signature Schulze sequencer sounds. With "Euro Caravan," Schulze glides musically toward the present, and with the over half-hour-long "Thor (Thunder)," the electronic master takes us on a journey into the future.
