"Sunrise" is a delightfully evocative piece which gradually builds in intensity with the sun & has wonderful sounds c/o Mr T. "Painted Desert" is a moody sort of tone poem suited to electronic interpretation.
"On the trail" is a riotous semi-comic track featuring cowboy song.
"Sunset" is a perfect compliment to "sunrise". An exceptionally strong romantic melodic line here conjures up inter-war Americana.
"Cloudurst" is a fitting finale which quotes from the previous movements.
