The album "Behind The Gardens - Behind The Wall - Under The Tree" was a huge success worldwide. With his unmistakably unique style, his very colorful, dynamic music, also characterized by the variety of exotic tones, Vollenweider quickly enthralled an audience of millions. He also ignited this magic that evening on the Loreley rock and drew the audience into his musical spell. The legendary Lore Lay could sit back; her magic skills were not required. The master of ceremonies Vollenweider took care of that personally, together with his two "assistants": They enchanted the audience (musically).

First time on DVD, the TV series from 1978 with the exclusiv soundtrack music played and composed by Edgar Froese. It sounds like his Stuntman and Kamikaze Sountrack, but different.
Nice 3 episodes about timetravel into the past.

A 1980 film for TV. Starring John Thaw, Charlotte Cornwall and Paul Darrow. The life and times of Sir Francis Drake featuring a replica of the Golden Hind sailed from New York for the film. Steve appears fleetingly as the ships musician. The music was performed on Period instruments including Flemish Harpsichord, Viols, Viola De Gamba, renaissance flute and lute.

Original documentary from the BBC documentary "Vision Earth". With the soundtrack by Steve Jolliffe. Here we hear Jolliffe from a different side, with Berlin School sequences and more dramatic melodies with excellent syntheizer selection.
The movie itself is a kind of Koyannisquatsi or Chronos, where you can see fantastic landscapes in slow motion or from an airplan view. The music fits perfect.

The word "vampire" is never mentioned in Near Dark, but that doesn't stop this 1987 cult favorite from being one of the best modern-era vampire films. It put then-unknown director Kathryn Bigelow on Hollywood's radar and gave choice roles to Aliens costars favored by Bigelow's ex-husband James Cameron: Lance Henriksen is the leader of a makeshift family of renegade bloodsuckers, nocturnally seeking victims in rural Oklahoma; his immortal gal pal is Aliens and Terminator 2 alumnus Jenette Goldstein; and Bill Paxton is the group's deadliest leather-clad ass kicker. Fellow traveler Jenny Wright lures Okie farm boy Adrian Pasdar into the group with a love bite, and he's soon turning toward vampirism with a combination of frightened revulsion and relentless desire. With Joshua Miller (River's Edge) as the youngest vampire, Near Dark is Bigelow's masterpiece of low-budget ingenuity--a truck-stop thriller that begins well, gets better and better (aided by a fine Tangerine Dream score), and goes out in a blaze of glory.
