This was originally released in 1989 and was applauded for its highly charged emotional content, crossing instrumental and electronic rock music styles. Issued on CDr in 2001, it has now finally made it onto CD with the bonus of 20 minutes previously unreleased music, new artwork and sleeve notes by David Wright. ‘Reflections’ has been remastered from original tapes and is a timely reminder of the range of David Wright’s catalogue. Its popularity was undoubtably helped by the words of Klaus Schulze’s manager, Klaus D Mueller, who wrote in a USA magazine; “Of all the demos I have received, this was the first and only one I liked and still like”.  Although that connection has often resulted in David Wright’s music being likened to Klaus Schulze, which is not really the case, David’s original and deeply emotive style has ensured his longevity on the global electronic music scene.

'Returning Tides Vol 2' charts the solo electronic music of David Wright from 2005 to 2022 and highlights the composer’s creative diversity and the evolution of his sound and style across his large body of work. (Volume 1, released in 2005, charts the composer’s music from 1989-2005). David's music is emotive, melodic and thematic and often described as being “full of rhythmic motion” and with the ability not just to make one think, but to make one “feel”. The standard CD release contains 18 tracks, while the deluxe download version contains 34 tracks, which include unreleased, rarities and collaborations with a variety of musicians including Ian Boddy and Klaus ‘Cosmic’ Hoffmann-Hoock. All the music has been edited and remastered for this release and in many instances the tracks are shorter and more ‘radio friendly’. David Wright has championed lesser known artists for decades through AD Music, one of the most successful and enduring electronic music labels of the past 35 years. He has enjoyed critical and commercial success through his solo work, as well as co-founding the acclaimed avant-garde band ‘Code Indigo' and the Tangerine Dream influenced Callisto. He has also been actively involved as a promotor of electronic music events in the UK

'Romancing the Moon’ was originally released in 1990 and continued David Wright’s early development in electronic music. Full of emotional and moody themes, it crossed instrumental rock and electronic music styles, including with strong Tangerine Dream and Klaus Schulze influences. It was issued on CDr in 2001, but has now finally made it onto CD with the bonus of 15 minutes previously unreleased music, new artwork and booklet notes by David Wright. ‘Romancing the Moon’ is an album close to the artist’s heart and has been lovingly 24 bit remastered from original cassette tapes. It’s a timely reminder of the range of the David Wright catalogue and how much his music has evolved over the years. The artist has stayed true to his original and emotive style, in which atmosphere, feel and melody are key and this has ensured his longevity on the global electronic music scene. ‘Romancing the Moon’ is a compelling collection of styles, building on the romanticism of his acclaimed debut with more Tangerine Dream styled longer sequenced passages alongside shorter, instrumental rock styled tracks. ‘Moon Maiden’ with its evocative melancholia and the classically influenced title track are especially memorable, leading into the TD influenced ‘Twilight Dream’. The second half of this excellent collection presents melodic and imaginative 80’s style em in shorter track format.

"Sines of Life (Vol. 1) is David's 20th solo CD release in a career that spans more than 20 years and the album has been something of a labour of love, as explained in the informative 16 page booklet.
It contains new studio material alongside imaginative live re-workings of classic David Wright  compositions from concerts during 2007 and 2009 featuring guest musicians, and it's no understatement to say that it's a majestic tour de force of instrumental new age electronica.
The perennial favorite "Walking with Ghosts" is replayed as a brand new arrangement that is simply sublime and features another UK synth luminary Ian Boddy on keyboards and German guitar legend Klaus Hoffmann Hook, who also plays the Memotron.
Another beautiful reworking is "Beyond Paradise", this time featuring Hoffmann-Hoock on electric sitar, while "Just an Illusion" and "State of Bliss" are again completely new imaginings of the original album tracks that here feature stunning cosmic guitar work from Hoffmann-Hoock.
The remaining songs include the atmospheric piano based title piece, a previously unreleased live track featuring Robert Fox & Nigel Turner-Heffer titled "3 a.m." and a new interpretation of David's popular epic "Cassini" recorded at his 2007 USA concert.
The production is superb and with a running time of over 78 minutes this fitting anniversary album provides both quality and quantity. If you're already familiar with the work of David Wright, then this album really is a "must have" because the reworked live tracks are significantly different from the originals to differentiate this set from a traditional "Greatest Hits" compilation. If you're not and you're into good quality, melodic and emotive electronic music, then "Sines of Life" has more than enough quality to warrant your investigation and ensure your interest.
An album that's destined to run and run and a terrific addition to an already impressive catalogue.

A sensational 135 minute double album featuring previously unreleased live and studio material from the period 1998 - 2008. The album is diverse and covers a multitude of moods but all imbued with the trademark David Wright style. These two CDs contain all the music, which did not fit onto part 1.

Taken from his 2006 Planetarium concerts in Germany and the UK, this live album clocks in at a mammoth 79.30 and features brand new tracks and a masterful re-working of the epic "Sea of Dreams", transforming it into an almost entirely new track.

There is also a gentle impromptu version of "Glass Mountains" (from Ocean Watch) plus a reworked version of the popular "The Sound of Waves".)
