Originally released in 1984 as the soundtrack for the Austrian judicial scandal documentary film, Angst (a.k.a. Schizophrenia), Schulze’s music acted as a storyline for the unedited film, rather than incidental music added to a completed story, thus allowing the score to drive the film. As stand alone music, Angst is typical of Schulze’s moody, serene and atmospheric symphonic synth bent. The bonus track, Silent Survivor, was recently uncovered in the search for masters and has been previously unreleased. The Angst soundtrack is released as a special edition digipak with enhanced booklet and new liner notes.
