Das Wagner Desaster was recorded on digital 8-track during the two legendary 1994 concerts staged by Klaus Schulze in Paris and Rome, May 27 and 31. Schulze then edited the shows into two different mixes, disc one featuring The Wild Mixes with The Soft Mixes on the other, to create the in-demand live album that fans had been clamouring for for years. The results are pure Schulze and Das Wagner Desaster resides in not only the upper echelon of Klaus Schulze recordings but in that of all classic and essential electronic music.
