This time Projekt Gamma creates a deep atmosphere of Ambient sounds related to the water. The sloping deepness of the sounds is covered by warm long fading sounds with some extra sequences and rhythms, that pass and being added to some great pieces.

Projekt Gamma are musicians Uwe Brameler and Volker Flottmann and the German sleevenotes suggest their influences are Tangerine Dream (circa 1990), Jarre and "Parsons". Uptempo sequencing and rhythms are largely the order of the day on this album, and though they aren't rewriting any history books with this it is in the main well executed and produced. Sound quality and channel separation are very good giving the music an almost 3D feel. Though many of the titles suggest "Cosmic" roots, many of the early tracks are quite terrestrial in style. From track 6 onwards though sequences and synth textures do give the music a spacier feel. Overall I can't get too excited by what's on show here, mainly because the path has been trodden so many times before. Projekt Gamma are just as entitled to flatten the grass as anyone else though, and they do make quite a good job of it. (GG)
