The story behind this one is as follows. I've been listening to my old Linear Functions stuff a lot as I've been working on that in recent months. It's got me remembering much of how I used to have to produce back then and what kind of mindset I was in at the time. After doing that I felt it like a soft reset in a way, as I'd forgotten many of the things which drove me at the time, things which made me want to make that kind of music. And so for this album I effectively improvised sequence and percussive development over a self-generating backdrop as per RadioSilence. A few bits & bobs added, a few tweaks made and several edits later, we're done.
A fairly dry production for me, as opposed to my usual vast cavernous reverbs. Mainly because I got used to hearing just how dry my very early synth music was. Cos dry is good, less is more and all that twaddle.
