Brand new album by the krautrock / electronic pioneer DIETER MOEBIUS (Cluster, Harmonia). "Ding" appears in digipack format on KLANGBAD. In the past forty years DIETER MOEBIUS (i.e. as a part of the groups CLUSTER and HARMONIA) has shaped the development of electronic music quite decisive. Compared to the more friendly structures and arrangements on his previous album "Kram" the eleven tracks on "Ding" are surprisingly thrilling and gripping: Displaced grooves and eerie sounds permeate the entire album from the slow-massive opener "Walksol" to "Flink" with its nervous pulse; from the more spheric "Alfred" to the complex "Zufall" and up to the final abstractions "Fou" and "Ruston & Monotron". But for all this variation, the dramatic concept of DIETER MOEBIUS is called ,Linearity" - one thing follows the other - song for song - event for event. This absence of "increasing" and the repetitive stoicism mark this album. the clarity and the hypnotic power fascinate!
