These photos by Uncle Sem gave me conflicting emotions... they made me think of people serenely living their lives, and at the same time they made me think that “the end is nigh”. Finally these two concepts coalesced into the thought that we might be carelessly enjoying all the diverse things and experiences we have, blissfully unaware that all is about to end; hence the contrasting moods of the tracks on this album.
And yes, I hope I’m wrong about the end getting closer.
