Kraut Rock Re Loaded is a small homage to the greats of Krautrock like Klaus Schulze, Edgar Froese, Dieter Moebius and Florian Schneider, who unfortunately have all left us lately. But also to everyone else, such as Michael Rother or Rodelius. The allusion to "Harmonia" with the "detergent bottle" doesn't really need to be mentioned. But if you're expecting sounds similar to 1974, you'll be bitterly disappointed. Guido doesn't even try that. His well-known mix of guitars and synths also takes place here, only this time everything is a bit rougher and faster than you might have heard from "Fairytale". And with "Emergency" - the only song on KRRL - singer Sarina Liechti can be heard in top form again. It is the "spirit" of this time which is "reloaded" in today's sound, so to speak. Likewise, Guido - himself a "herb" from the southwestern part of Germany - wants to remind you that there was a musical movement in Germany a good 50 years ago that got so many things rolling and was so important. And one that shouldn't be forgotten. The idea of completely rethinking music and breaking all boundaries to do what you actually want to do and not what the mainstream demands.
And even if "Kraut Rock Re Loaded" is, at best, a fairly modern continuation of this genre.,,
However, it has its roots in this era. Krautrock forever "the Spirit lives on"
