Many listeners often want to have their drawers to classify the music and the term “electronic ambient music and field recording” would probably best describe this double album. By means of field recordings, Land has acoustically captured the sounds and noises from various locations in and around Rodgau and incorporated them into its electronic music. The whole city with its sound artifacts was applied as a sound instrument. The unheard of the unheard of: what does a cornfield sound like? Humans can no longer perceive acoustic events in the ultrasound range. Such noises were recorded with a special "bat scanner" so that the native bats would not be missing. Electromagnetic waves from power lines and lanterns have been captured using the gaussmeter and have also been implicated in music. From the calls of the rare red kite in the orchards, to the noises of the S-Bahn, to the knocking noises on containers, nothing has been left out. However, the Rodgau Culture Prize winner did not create an auditory collage that only consists of atonal noises. With electronic synthesizers, harmonic musical compositions were worked out in his Hainhausen music studio and sound laboratory, which combine in a new context with the sound sculptures to form meditative collages. This is how an acoustic portrait was created of the surroundings of the town of Rodgau. A special highlight: the entire work has been laid out as a "cartographic composition". On the 28 pages in the detailed booklet of the CD, all coordinates of the field recordings are listed. The locations at which the photos were taken from the booklet can also be precisely localized by specifying the location markings. This allows the interested listener to visit the individual points interactively.
