HyperEx Machina

HyperEx Machina is the ambient alter-ego of the harder edged Hyperdriver aka Steve Munslow from London. His music is ambient with sequences and arpeggios, drifting soundscapes and unnerving contrasts. Occasionally it breaks out into moderate beats, but is always very melodic and involving.

A suite of tracks dedicated to the life and work of Galileo Galilei (1564-1642). Most of these tracks consist of two live parts, one a Roland MC-307, the other a microKorg. These were recorded, layered and mixed at Beergut studios.

Live recording from the amazing AmbientLive 2K3 event at the Notting Hill Arts Club on 31 May 2003 where 4m33s and HyperEx Machina did alternate short sets in a continuous mix.
There were two sections to the show, ambient and beaty. This release contains the best parts of both sets on one CD. The companion bonus CD contains more great stuff, including
a huge ambient jam track. Free with every copy of 'Notting Hill' is the Bonus Album, containing one more live track, then the huge ambient jam done the following day in HyperEx Machina's studio, and finally an alternative version of the 4m33s classic 'Atomsphere'.

This album contains Ambient tracks, in a continuous mix. Nick Robinsons's track recorded live at Cambridge Loop Festival 2005. Mooch's track is a companion to "Out There" on the album "Gothic Ships". This compilation has the more ambient style tracks of 2006 included.
