Dacker

Dutchman Peter Dekker (1973) remembers to have music in his head constantly since he was 4 years old. At the age of 9 he comes up with his first compositions. As soon as he obtains his first keyboard on his 15th birthday, he starts to make electronic music. Now, 32 years later, Peter owns more than 50 electronic music instruments, with which he composed and recorded an uncountable amount of music. l

Däcker + Skoulaman - Saudade

It all started with a Yamaha CS-60.
Däcker asked if somebody was able to collect his CS-60 after it had been repaired. Skoulaman volunteered and once the CS-60 was brought back to Däcker’s studio, he tried it out and was immediately blown away. What an amazing sound!
Däcker and Skoulaman had jammed together once before and found in each other a rather similar approach in creating electronic music and they both love the music of Vangelis.
The idea was born to make some music around the CS-60.
This culminated in three days of recording sessions and what you hear on this album is a selection of the best parts from these sessions.

Däcker - Pareidolia

Pareidolia is the tendency for incorrect perception of a stimulus as an object, pattern or meaning known to the observer, such as seeing shapes in clouds, seeing faces in inanimate objects or abstract patterns, or hearing hidden messages in music.
“The basis for the music on this album was improvised/created/recorded during a beautiful Sunday in August 2018. Initially, the preparation of the first track took most of the afternoon. After the recording of this track, my creative mood lingered on and during the evening the other pieces were created and recorded spontaneously.
The original recordings (which were made in one take on cd) were subsequently musically enhanced by Remy and myself in Remy’s studio between 2018 and 2020, resulting into the output to be heard on this album.”

Remy + Däcker - Live at Byss

During the pandemic, Bas Broekhuis invited musicians at his BYSS music studio. Artists including Kontroll-Raum, Ron Boots, Skoulaman and René van der Wouden entered the small stage to perform their music for a large audience through a live video stream. This was the only way to reach listeners in times of worldwide lockdown.
Also Remy Stroomer (REMY) and Peter Dekker (Däcker) got the opportunity to premier their collaboration at BYSS. This album contains the registration of their improvised concert. Performed by REMY (Remy Stroomer) and Däcker (Peter Dekker) at BYSS, December 19th, 2020.
