Artist: Michael Brückner& Mathias Brüssel P: 2017 La Mansarde Hérmetique (founded in 2013) is the eletronic improvisation project of Mathias Brüssel and Michael Brückner, both electronica & ambient artists from Mainz, Germany. Both are also involved in solo projects and other collaborations, and are active in the German ambient / electronic music scene since 25 years and more... Their debut album is - as all of their music - based on various improvisations that were recorded in La Mansarde Hérmetique’s regular monthly sessions in 2017. The name of the project is an homage to "Le Garage Hermétique" by French comic artist Jean Giraud aka Moebius, who sadly died in 2012. Mathias Brüssel: electronics, synthesizer, keyboards Michael Brückner: synthesizer, keyboards, electronics
Artist: Mathias Grassow + Michael Brückner P: 2019 Michael Brückner (Germany) has been creating Ambient and other forms of electronic music since 1992. Enigmatic drone visionary Mathias Grassow has been occupied with music since the late 1970s. Mathias and Michael first met in 2011 after finding out that they actually lived near to each other. They discovered that they shared not only their musical tastes, but also had similar spiritual leanings and drew from nearly the same sources of inspiration. With “Polar Vortex” they have created a magic ambient journey that leads us from mystical regions of the north to realms even beyond.
Artist: Michael Brückner P: 2012 The debut of this new german artist is full of floating melodies, sequenced Soundscapes and mystic atmospheres.
Artist: Michael Brückner P: 2012 / 2022 10 years earlier, in 2012, Michael released his first label release on SynGate Records, which was also his 100th album: "One Hundred Million Miles Under The Stars". Since then, this album has been one of Michael Brückner's personal favorites among the albums he recorded. The new re-release is now much more than a re-release, in fact completely new tracks were created when the individual pieces were not only remixed but completely reinterpreted by other artists that Michael had invited to this project. The excellent participating artists on 100 MILLION MILES UNDER THE STARS are: - Dave Bessell - Johan Tronestam - Joerg Schaaf - Esteban Menash - Ami Hassinnen (of Nemesis) - Hollan Holmes Michael says: "I'm really impressed and happy how the new versions have taken shape through the hands of the immensely talented artists. The double album offers the remix with the artists involved on CD1 and the original album from 2012 on CD2.
Artist: Michael Brückner P: 2012 This is his 84.th album and the 18 tracks are mixed in one go. It ranges from dark ambient thru mystic psychedelic till sometimes with dance elements.
Artist: Michael Brückner P: 2006 This is a CD which was produced and played in 2003 and mastered in 2006. The music is pure ambient and reminds us to the works of Nik Tyndall at his Sky Record times.
Artist: Michael Brückner P: 2019 3 hours of Spacemusic as a retrospective throughout the works of Michael Brückner with a new mix in one go. CD 3 is completely new music.
Artist: Michael Brückner P: 2007 Blend of beat driven contemporary and more classic electronica, with some ambient moments. Some tracks are rather experimental, others more accessible and melodic.
Artist: Michael Brückner P: 2001 All of the 45 original tracks of "Movies Moving In My Head" were solely created with the wonderful music / sound software "Metasynth" - the original concept of which is to translate pictures into sound, by the use of different sets of rules to interpret the pixels in a given digital image. These "sets of rules" also include microtonal musical scales that can be edited or created by the user. On top of this basic idea, there are different extra levels of sound manipulations to further be applied to the resulting sound file. The resulting possibillities are endless.
Artist: Michael Brückner P: 2018 This time, the album on offer is (almost) pure Berlin School - sequencer driven space music based on (mostly) minor chord progressions provided by analogue(ish) synth strings and mellotron(ish) choirs, above it all the inevitable moog(ish) soloing - that kind of thing (with only a few gimmicks thrown in for variety). I tend to see it as a slightly darker and more monochrome brother to last year's "Trees Of Olivanda" (You might notice there's also the theme of water again in the cover art - which this time I borrowed from some old masters of the Romantic era...). The album title also is an allusion - I guess it's quite plain, isn't it...? :-) Most of the tracks have been recorded already a year ago or even more. Actually the core of the release is formed by three tracks I had submitted for a compilation curated by the people of the EMPortal - which sadly never happened (so far), so after a long wait, I decided to use those tracks on this album instead. One of these tracks- the title track of the album - is actually a new mix of something I had put on SoundCloud still more time ago, and which quite a few listeners said was cool - one of them even asked if it would be on an album one day: well Mike, here we go... I also used part of another "SoundCloud favorite" from early 2017 for another track; the two additional tracks (plus the bonus track) were improvisations I recorded in the spring of 2018 and edited them slightly to complete this album (which in fact was finished in August 2018 already, but I decided to release it only after P'Faun's "The Golden Peacock"). And I guess that's it... Thanks for Your attention, and once the album is there: ENJOY! :-)
