The main focus of the album firmly on the colossal Yamaha cs80, Stephen set out to combine Vangelis´ more orchestral timbale palette with the darker and more foreboding soundscapes inspired by Brian Lustmord´s work. "Hoellenengel" was widely recognized as one of the most authentic-sounding approaches at making a musical sequel to "Blade Runner", and it even received some rave reviews on fan sites dedicated exclusively to Scott´s film (among the reviewers were Gary Willoughby of bladezone.com and Arvin Clay of radio2019). Other reviewers billed Stephen´s album as one of the darkest albums of electronic music ever recorded.
