Electronic music is not for the narrow-minded. Xan Alexanders’ musical output over the past twenty years has been one that has seen him evolve into a style completely all his own. From his beginnings in The Omega Syndicate to working as a part of Magnetron and releasing his own solo material, Xan has introduced an English angle and many different sounds and spaces to the tried and true, predominately German-based berlin-style of electronica.
Ouroboros II, Xan’s thirteenth solo release, delivers six courses of syncopated rhythms and soundscapes that come deep from the wells of sound electronic music can make these days. There are many details here and oh what sounds that create a bed for the rhythms and melodies that rise and dance.
