The Dutch multimedia project WAVE WORLD (Harry Kessels, Gert van Santen and Rolf van Slooten) presents the selection of their compositions.
Track 2 recorded live (with studio additions) on December 3, 1999, at the 3D-day, The Netherlands Film and Television Academy, Amsterdam.
The members of the trio share the passion for Electronic Music, computer graphics and science fiction. WAVE WORLD is a multinational phenomenon. They are in the avant-garde of XXI century world culture. The focus of their creative work saw many shifts within the framework of WAVE WORLD project, their music constantly morphed into new forms, surprising the audience used to the soft and peaceful ambient music with the blast of volcanic energy of club dance electronics. WAVE WORLD do not simply create music, they invent new cosmic civilization with exotic way of being, whimsical life forms and strange inhabitants, the civilization being not metaphorical but literally alive. Music is just a part of a huge complex including sci-fi animation and the breathtaking costumed visual light shows that are only vaguely felt in the music. WAVE WORLD spins your perception around: life beyond Earth - another galaxy is the natural environment for these extraterrestrial people.
And the new WAVE WORLD disc makes us believe it to be true with its infectious drive and its ability to stir the imagination.
