With "Groundcontrol and the Victory of Mankind" moonbooter releases the first album of a new series. In summer 2018 Bernd had already presented some of the songs of this project live: "Sometimes I have different outputs, which are hard to fit on a single concept album. That's why I got the idea for a new project name. I don't see "moonbooter" as a project, but as a synonym for myself and my musical work. In the future, "Groundcontrol" will appear whenever my music moves too far away from classical EM." Although Bernd´s musical handwriting on Groundcontrol is still dominant, a few things are different: Groundcontrol is faster, clearer but also more memorable. Like on "The Wave" or "Schwarzmond" the new album is a bit darker. Melancholy and euphoria are very close. Basically, as always, melodies and sequences dominate this album, which moonbooter-usually are carried by epic rhythms. But also driving beats and an always up-to-date, analog sound characterize this album. "I've been working almost exclusively with hardware for a few years now. This makes my music seem less static and just sounds better." Hardly any other musician of the German EM scene has had such a continuous, versatile and inspiring output over so many years as moonbooter. "I only make the music that I carry inside me." Also at his concerts he has been giving everything for many years and always knows how to surprise and inspire his audience. "Groundcontrol and the Victory of Mankind" is rhythmic EM of a new generation and wants to be. In terms of sound, the album doesn't need to hide behind the greatest of the scene. "Yes, my songs may be loud, but I don't go along with this crazy Loudness-madness". Sound lovers appreciate the high dynamics and the present and always clear moonbooter sound. „When I started with „lunatic voyage“ in early 2007, I had a straight concept album in mind: a CD retelling the whole story about the most lunatic vision of all mankind, making an adventurous voyage to the earths’ closest neighbour, the moon. It took thousands of years from the first imagination to the first man landing on the moon, leaving his footprint on its dusty surface.
Inspired by the fascination for aerospace-technique but also by myth and fairy tales made up hundreds of years ago, I started composing all the tracks of “lunatic voyage”. In the course of time it became an opus with lots of different electronic and organic sounds, sequences and harmonies. The result is an exceeding and exigent album with various faces: straight hints to classical Electronic Music, but also elements of 21st centuries’ sound. I hope listening to “lunatic voyage” will bring You as much particular joy as I had during its genesis ... somewhere between moon and earth.

„orbit number 2“ is the soundtrack to “moonbooter’s” video-DVD in surround sound. The 90 minutes lasting DVD includes beautiful old exposures from NASA which have been animated with additional digital effects. Obviously the takes have been source of inspiration for the well-fitting electronical music of the CD. Partly it sounds like Score and combines the moonbooter-typical elements from classical Electronical Music and modern synthesizer-sounds. Summarized, “orbit number 2” is a very emotionally and explicitly produced electronical album which should be enjoyed and experienced in a peaceful moment.

Due to the high demand, there are now all 5 moonbooter live albums on audio-CD in the limited 5x DVD box available. The box contains the 5 audio CDR albums as well as a 2-page, signed accompanying sheet and a decal.
Exactly 10 years ago I finished my first EM-album „Teralogica“ which I had produced enthusiastically and full of beans. Today, more than 20 concerts, 12 concept- and 3 mixed albums later this is and was my motivation to review the past years. I can well recall my first concert at Burg Satzvey (Satzvey Castle) and the sleepless days before. Over the years you have to face good and bad experiences, none of them I would ever want to miss. You remember companions who became friends over the years. Although I always wanted to be my own mentor, every feedback of my fans and the applause from the audience gave me a great part of the power and inspiration which if reflected in my music. Thanks for your support! From the very beginning I tape-recorded all my concerts and kept them safely. In this concern I am and ever was a pedant. I reheard and edited this material throughout the last months and extracted an essence. The result are four albums each with a duration of 70 minutes. The album LIVE eins is a complete live recording of my concert at LWL Planetarium Münster in November 2014. LIVE zwei, drei und vier contain selected live recordings and remixes as well as a few unreleased songs plus two songs from my time before “moonbooter”.

"The Wave" is the new album (2015) of the musician, music producer and label maker Bernd Scholl aka moonbooter. „I started this year with a 4-month musical break. This was very unusual for me, but retrospectively a very good decision. I consumed much different music at that time. Eventually the moment came to start working on the next album. I decided this time not to use any theme that would have restricted me too much. There was only the consequent restriction to use only hardware synthesizers to produce the album. "
The result is fantastic electronic music with songs of different categories: Synth Pop, Dubstep, House, classic EM, soundtrack, some world music and more. Thanks harmonious vocals and a series of mystical voice samples of vintage times, the mood changes skillfully from song to song. "That is and was the plan. Particularly the unconventional exchange between the genres makes "The Wave" pretty exciting. You never know what's coming next. "So You find some kitsch and moonbooter's penchant for self-irony in a row with classical electronic tracks with depth. To rejoice in electronic music but also the melancholy and euphoria in moonbooters songs are omnipresent. "The Wave" is again at the highest technical audio level. Also in terms of sound design and aesthetics, "The Wave" is once again different from the previous works of the musician.

With this fourth album ”under control” moonbooter dives into more silent spheres which sound darker than usual. Bernd demonstrates amazingly which sounds are possible nowadays and catapults his audience to unknown worlds by using extraordinary but somehow well-known sounds.” Bernd recommends: “under control” should be experienced with headphones to recognize the various details.” The album has been enriched with numerous effects, multiple hearing recommended. The spectrum of the 13 songs embraces, besides classical EM, ambient or funk, also hard break-beats and guarantees a high level of variety. Additional to the monotonous but always fresh melodies some songs with pop-character and complex arrangements will fly through your ears and make “under control” a highly interesting creation, not only for electronic fans.

Rather exhausted I finished the prologue of the “World of Apes”-Trilogy beginning of 2010. “World of Apes 1” took a lot out of me…more than expected. Questions for a sequel came up which I couldn’t answer for a long time. I needed some distance to the finished album. In the course of time I learned, that this way of dealing with the “nuclear madness” inspired the audience which was supported by the catastrophe in Fukushima in March 2011. So I started collecting musical sketches about themes that touched me and that were relevant in my own youth. Pershing, Tschernobyl, StarWars, The day after, WarGames, Anti-Nukes-Movements and many more dominated my nuclear memory of that time. After I finished my album “Cosmologica” in December 2010 I decided to start the work on “World of Apes 2”. It was exciting from the very beginning.
As most themes from WoA1 happened prior to my birth I experienced the 70th to 90th consciously. This is reflected in the music which seems to sound lighter. For the first time since years the album was finished without advance warning. Even 4 songs had to be left out due to shortage of space. Summa summarum: “World of Apes 2” is a diversified, sometimes rhythmic, but all over coltish piece of art full of modern electronic music. Pop-parts are intended. This is a concept album. Terrific sound guaranteed. Vocals from myself. Music without pointer finger. But with loads of feelings. Plus the usual dosage of Climax. No contemporary witness-samples this time. Simply moonbooter. What is the opposite of boring? Just listen.
