Zanov

ZANOV, one of the first French Electronic Music composer and synthesizer virtuoso , has been active on the musical scene since 1976.

He studied piano and guitar, but the turning point was in summer 1975, when he discovered the fascinating world of synthesizers.He set up his home studio with legendary synthesizers as EMS VCS3, ARP 2600, RMI harmonic synthesizer and started to compose.He had to understand the scientific foundations of sound synthesis and master the various playing techniques, to play and compose in a fluid way, while being led by his personal emotions.In France, He is one of the first musicians to innovate in the universe of electronic music, breaking the limits of conventional music, caring about details and perfection.He composed 3 albums between 1976 and 1982, which are engraved in the memories of electronic music lovers : Green Ray (Polydor) in 1977, Moebius (Polydor) in 1978, In Course of time (Solaris) in 1983. Zanov performed several concerts in France in 1977 and 1978, welcomed by the critics for the beauty of his sounds and for his personal musical universe.

One of the first french electronic music composer is back after a long silence, with this beautiful musical trip, exploring the universe of sounds. Listen with both ears, for the musical content is not inert, it moves, it breathes, it dies, it is reborn.
This album was composed and realized on analog synthesisers VCS3, ARP 2600, ARP sequencer, RMI harmonic synthesizer, Korg PS-3300.
Initially recorded on tapes, the composiitons were digitized, completed on Arturia Origin synthesizer and remixed.
Zanov has a unique style, powered by his determination and capacity to create the totality of the sound matter which constitute his musical compositions.
Zanov is resurging after his 3 albums (vinyls) "Green ray" (Polydor) in 1977, "Moebius" (Polydor) in 1978 and "In cours of time" (Solaris) in 1982.
