Yamaoka’s (Kenichi Oka ) fourth Databloem solo release of groovy loop based sequences, topped and bottomed with a touch of oriental minimal techno.This 70 minute album presenting “Koyomi”, a musical interpretation of the Japanese calendar. Controlled by the Roland MC50 sequencer, Kenichi adds a human touch and “life” feel to the tracks, reminding us with pleasure of early, more abstract Berlin School acts.
