Robert Schroeder - Computer Voice

Artist: Robert Schroeder
P: 1984
This Album is a re-mix/re-recording CD of various earlier Schroeder cuts modernized in a less droning, and more traditionally arranged format with more song structures and better control over synth sequences. Some of the leads go on a bit, and it sounds dated at times, but real effort was put into this at the time to refine and perfect an attempt at a more structured electronic sound. To this day, some of the cuts hold up quite well. This is often a really cool sounding album, and at the time no one else was making anything close to it really. Just superb.

Robert Schroeder - Cream

Artist: Robert Schroeder
P: 2010
The title of Schroeders new album speaks for itself: "Cream".It is something special Robert presents on his new album:
Robert Schroeder returns to his muscial style he was popular for in the early 80s:
Long tracks that develop atmospherically, become more and more dense. The character of the tracks can be described as hypnotic, due to the
apply of the Schroeder-typical sequences. All has been produced with selected sounds of the latest technology, so that you have a great listening pleasure.It is something that Schroder fans have waited for so long.
One of the best albums of recent years.

Robert Schroeder - Cygnus-A

Artist: Robert Schroeder
P: 1982 / 2010
Robert is happy, because he can now present the CD version of the legendary Galaxy Cygnus-A. And he is also happy, because this CD is a re-recording which sounds much better than the Original. But not different! Galaxy Cygnus-A is still Galaxy Cygnus-A, each tone and atmosphere is exactly copied, only the production sound is much more dynamic and clear.
Nothing of the composition is changed or lost, but there are something surprising and new additional. So for example the main theme is much more integrated in the whole work. Melodies from the first title are been included in other tracks too. This was also done in the Original version, but now it is much better worked out.
The treatment sounds equal, nothing from the authentic admission is lost, but it sounds all somewhat more fully, more approximately, more clearly. It is still an exciting adventure journey on the way to the far Galaxy Cygnus-A. A musically SF-history, which produces fantasy pictures with the listener.
For those who are not familiar with it: Galaxy Cygnus-A was already recorded and live performed in 1982 as contribution to the world well known ARS Electronica in Linz/Austria (with TV-transmission in Austria and FRG and a special transmission in "Aspekte") and published as LP on the IC label, at that time owned by Klaus Schulze.
Galaxy Cygnus-A was developed on the basis of received signals (acoustically white noise) from the 1.05 billion light-years removed radio galaxy Cygnus-A in the constellation swan. Caught and noted were these signals with the worldwide largest mobile radio telescope of the Max-Planck-Institute in Effelsberg (Eifel, FRG). These signals were the basic and inspiration for Schroeders galactic work - finest traditional electronic music.
On the occasion of the world known ARS-Electronica (Linz / Austria) the LP GALAXY CYGNUS A was produced and published in 1982. GALAXY CYGNUS A was also the title of a multi-media show, an optical-acoustic event with look in the space, which Robert Schroeder had performed for the first time, together with a German SF-author, in 1982 on the ARS-Electronica in Linz (with TV transference in Austria and the FRG).
GALAXY CYGNUS A is an interpretation and composition to the "noises" of the radio-galaxy of the same name in the sign of the zodiac swan. The "white noises" of these 1.05 milliard light years distant radio-galaxy were received with the worldwide biggest movable radio telescope in mountain Effelsberg/ Eifel / FRG and was taped. They served as a base and inspiration for Schroeder's galactical work ... traditional electronic music of the finest kind.
For Schroeder this was the first project abroad.
The LP Galaxy Cygnus A became in 26. Sept.1982 on the occasion of the ARS-Electronica in Linz Austria performed for the first time (with TV transfer in Austria and the FRG and a special broadcasting of the TV broadcasting "aspecte").

Robert Schroeder - D.MO Vol.1

Artist: Robert Schroeder
P: 1998
In 1998 the artist on the occasion of a duplicate of birthday published a anniversary album with the title D.MO Vol.1. This double birthday referred once to 20 years of music Robert Schroeder and to second on the 20-year-old birthday of Schroeder son Klaus. Since Klaus was the "key to the music" for Robert. Hence, D.Mo/Vol.1 exists as regards content only of music which Robert had taken up in that time, but had never published. The tracks leave genuine, therefore, the atmosphere from that time comes across especially well.

Robert Schroeder - D.MO Vol.2

Artist: Robert Schroeder
P: 2008
Robert Schroeder searched his drawer for some old musical treasures. And indeed he selected some fine pieces of the early 80s. Many Schroeder fans love his typical sound of the 80s which revives on this album. One is amazed about the good sound quality of some tracks.
This is absolutely recommended to all Schroeder fans of the early days.

Robert Schroeder - D.MO Vol.3

Artist: Robert Schroeder
P: 2012
Because of the great demand on old unreleased recordings, like the ones on the first two editions of D.MO Vol. 1 and 2, Spheric Music decided to encourage Robert Schroeder for a third release of this series. Robert searched his treasure box and indeed found some jewels from the good old time. If you listen to the music you can not believe that these works have been produced during 1981-1991: The sound quality is excellent.
If you hear the old sounds of the drum computer or the typical  Landscapes and you know why this album is worth-wh titles on this Robert Schroeder-typical album.

Robert Schroeder - D.MO Vol.4

Artist: Robert Schroeder
P: 2017
The first studio recording Harmonic Decadence now rediscovered in full length on D.MO Vol.4
Since the release of Robert's official debut album Harmonic Ascendant the world of the EM community has discussed rumours about a recording called Harmonic Decadence. Before the first official Vinyl-LP-Release (IC / WEA), Robert started his first studio recording in the same recording studio Panne-Paulssen (Frankfurt/Main) in 1978, where also numerous European artists such as Klaus Schulze, Ashra /Manuel Göttsching and Harald Großkopf have recorded their works.  However, these first recording of Schroeder was rejected by the WEA because it was too "electronic". At first, the debut album should also be named Harmonic Decadence. After refusing this first recording of 1978, Schroeder went back to the studio, where the well-known debut album Harmonic Ascendant arose. In the meantime the first recording Harmonic Decadence was somehow forgotten. Some extracts have also been used occasionally, e.g. within the INKEYS interview from the early 80s. But the complete work of this first recording has been published never before. The tapes went lost in the depths of the tape archives over the time.   The demand for these recordings is still great. In the year 2017 Robert searched through his archive ... and found the old original recordings as a master copy on a high quality music cassette. The sound is not up to date due to its age but has its charme and now been re-mastered. And of course this material is something what the fans are waiting for.
In the context of the D.MO-series (old unreleased recordings of the artist), the original version of Harmonic Decadence will be released in full length on CD at Spheric Music.   A delight for lovers of Electronic Music of the late 70s. Have much fun.

Robert Schroeder - D.MO Vol.5

Artist: Robert Schroeder
P: 2024
D. MO is the abbreviation for DEMO. The music consists of unreleased archive material from the past, from 1979 to the 1990s. It's always music that didn't really fit on Robert's planned albums. These often include beautiful tracks that have simply been left in the archive - but are far too good not to be released. The D. MO series was created from such pieces and has already filled five CD albums.
The first CD in this series, "D. MO Vol. 1", was released by Jörg Strawe on CUE-records in 1998. Robert Schroeder continued his D. MO series in 2008.
